1. Ankylosaurus
The Ankylosaurus was a slow-moving herbivore, around 30 feet
long, and is best known for its body armor composed of large
bony plates embedded onto its skin. It had a powerful clubbed
tail and 2 pairs of horns on its head. These features provided
protection from predators like the Tyrannosaurus rex.
It lived during the late Cretaceous period (70 million years ago)
and was one of the last remaining dinosaurs before the great
extinction.
