suspect, Zackery Perry ("Perry")(MPD Case #2017–557). Through the investigation and the analysis of electronic evidence that Perry possessed and
was collected during a search warrant of his residence, a local juvenile victim was identified as Brooklyn Skelton ("Brooklyn")(age 7). On February

In most states, teenagers who send or receive sexually explicit photographs via cell
phone, known as "sexting", risk felony child pornography charges and the stigma of being listed
on the sex offender registry for life. The fact that sexting can fall under child pornography laws
has created some heated conversations and understandably so. There are numerous thoughts and
opinions on the matter. The majority of the time, sexting in teenagers isn't meant to be
malicious, isn't child pornography therefore shouldn't carry such a like punishment.
Teenagers sending a "sext" to another teenager isn't meant as a malicious act but rather a

When one thinks about child abuse, usually the first thing that comes to their mind is physical harm or aggressive behavior. However, the issue is
much more complex than one can think. Usually, child abuse can be manifested in both physical and emotional forms. Childhood is thought as to be
like a garden, protected by walls and hedges. However, in reality, most children are often neglected, abused and exploited. Child pornography and
sexual abuse are two of the most disturbing issues in the world today. Having a very international background, I was able to travel around the world
and learn about different cultures, especially those of third–world countries. I was able to see the immense amount of poverty, violence, and hatred in
all these countries, however, I have never thought about the amount of children that are forced into child trafficking, abuse, and pornography.
According to statistics, 1 in 5 girls and 1 in 20 boys is a victim of child sexual abuse and self–report studies show that 20% of adult females and 5–10%
of adult males recall a childhood sexual assault or sexual abuse incident. In my opinion, this is horrifying and shocking to know that there are more

between different countries that further complicate the issue of child pornography. It can become difficult to prosecute with the increased use of

Mr. Spencer, who lived with his sister, connected to the Internet through an account registered in his sister's name. He used LimeWire, a free
peer–to–peer file–sharing program, on his computer to download child pornography from the Internet. Det. Sgt. Darren Parisien of the Saskatoon Police
Service, using publicly accessible software, searched for anyone sharing child pornography. He could access whatever another user of the software
had in his or her shared folder. He could also obtain two numbers related to a given user: the IP address that matches to the specific Internet connection
through which a computer accesses the Internet and the globally unique identifier (GUID) number assigned to each computer using particular
software. The IP address of the computer is displayed as part of the file–sharing process. Det. Sgt. Parisien created a list of IP addresses for computers
that had shared what he believed to be child pornography. He then ran that list of IP addresses against a database which matches IP addresses with

The whole ordeal was caught on video by other detectives that were investing human trafficking nearby, whom stepped in to get help to the beaten men
(Lynch, 2013) . These three particular incidents appear to be nothing out of the ordinary these days forpolice departments across the country, all of
this are very inappropriate and all different forms of misconduct unethical to say the least. The officers of time past were respectful and treated people

There is an issue with the evolution of technology and how it is implemented for online child sexual abuse that needs to be addressed.
Traditionally, offenders would be limited to what they were able to do with a limitation in resources as a specific pool of potential victims.
However, technology has opened up new avenues and resources that offenders can use. Online child sexual abuse is a prominent issue as technology
is allowing offenders more access to material, better ways to remain hidden, and access to victims that may not have originally been available. One

A longtime D.C. police officer was accused of prostituting teenage girls. Officer Linwood Barnhill Jr was charged with two counts of pandering a
