3. The Third Reich became Germany’s new identity while governed by Adolf Hitler and his Socialist Workers Party. Later in October of 1938, and the Third Reich had successfully occupied the rest of the Bohemian lands and Poland.

6. One of the most extreme concentration camps was in Auschwitz where a quarter million Jews were gassed. Hitlers “Final Solution” was most successful between 1941 until the end of 1942, when Germany occupied approximately one third of the European land mass and ruled nearly half its inhabitants. Hitler regarded the Nazi Party’s leading men as key players in the monumental construction of the new Greater Germany.

8. In the final days of the war, during the Battle of Berlin in 1945, Hitler married his long-time mistress Eva Braun and, to avoid capture by Soviet forces less than two days later, the two committed suicideon April 30, 1945.
