2. Main features of a successful website
Researching business websites allowed me to view any codes and conventions of websites and what sets apart
successful ones from those not as successful. The main consensus was to include:
◦ An easy to remember domain name
◦ A tagline summing up what the business is / does
◦ Top navigation
◦ Crucial business information (location etc.)
◦ Internal links to other pages that include further information
◦ Contact information
◦ ‘About us’ page
◦ ‘FAQ’ page
3. -Colourful and effective way to produce and showcase their work
-Easy to access the other pages of the site
-Aesthetic and interactive design
-Provides the right information initially, but allows the
audience to view what they want
4. -Simple design, not a lot to take in and no complex aesthetics
-Having the main focus be pictures shows what she mainly has
to offer
-Very interactive design and allows the audience to navigate the website
themselves
-Is a good showcase of their work
5. -Not a lot of information to initially take in (makes the audience want
to look further)
-Colourful and memorable design
-Logo is centre
-Simple and pretty design
-Layout makes everything easy to navigate
-Having a video on the frontpage targets audience as they’re
more likely to watch a video than read a long description
