She’s Manchester’s biggest success story since ‘The 1975’, with her killer good-looks and unique
voice, she’s smashed her way to Number 1 all over Europe! Ashley Woodward has manages to climb
her way to number 1 in just a matter of days. She very kindly took time out of her manic schedule to
come and speak to us exclusively about her success and what her plans are for the future.
Ashley, first of all thank you for coming to speak to us, all of us at ECHO are massive fans! What’s
it like being number one in the whole of Europe?
It’s my pleasure! I LOVE this magazine! I don’t think it has fully sunk in yet that I have managed to do
it. I have had so much support from family, friends and my manager that I don’t think I could be able
to do it without them. It’s crazy!
So your family has helped you a lot in your success?
Yes. Very much so. They are my rock and I don’t think it would have been possible to fulfil my
dreams without them.
That’s so cute! Are you enjoying living in the spotlight?
Umm, I guess I am! It’s changed my life so much. For the better of course ha-ha. I think it’s every
girls dream to be able to live this lifestyle, I mean being able to walk into your favourite store and
having the amazing experience of buying anything you want. Especially those fabulous shoes you’ve
been dieing to get your hand on! But the paparazzi can get a bit too much for me.
I guess that would be a massive change for you! Do the paparazzi follow you everywhere?
YES! Everywhere I turn there are paparazzi. I don’t like it that much; the constant flashing of the
camera gives me a headache! I remember this one time, I was out for a meal with my family and
trying to get into the restaurant was so hectic. My dad especially didn’t like all the attention I was
getting, as after all, every dad wants to protect their little girl! He made his duty to help me push
past all the screaming fans and paparazzi so I could get into the restaurant in one piece ha-ha! It was
MAD!
Wow, it sounds it! I need to ask, how did you manage to get to number one so quickly?
If I’m honest, I have no idea! I guess my song was just a big hit with my listeners. I think that my song
is relatable with so many people as it’s about finding love which, in my opinion, helps my song
connect with the listeners. My manager and producers also played a big role in managing to get to
number one. Without them there wouldn’t be an album and I would be sat here with you lovely lot!
We love your company! Ashley, these rumours about you and fellow music artist Eylar Fox, are
they true?
Well, we have gone out together a couple of times like to clubs but there is nothing going on
between us. We are just really good mates and have become very close to one another over these
past couple of weeks. So no, Eylar and I are just really close friends. For now [Ashley gives a cheeky
wink and smiles]

2. Is there any chance we could see a relationship on the horizon?
I don’t know what’s going to happen in the future but for now there is nothing more than friendship
between us.
Okay, lastly, can you tell us what coming from you in the future?
There is a lot more coming from me in the future! I have a tour coming up which starts on the 7th
of
June, firstly in Manchester and I’m going to be touring around most of Europe! I’m currently working
on a new album which will be coming out later this year but I can’t tell you too much about that!
And I also have a MASSIVE surprise for you all! Which I hope you all really enjoy!
