A Little Eurocom Monster
1. A Little Eurocom Monster
Gaming laptops are aplenty, and they are very bulky. One problem that gaming
laptop owners complain about is that the actual laptops are too heavy to be
carried for long periods of time.
They want a laptop that is small, powerful but still packs the same stuff that bigger
laptops have. With that in mind, boutique computer company, Eurocom created
the W11ER Monster 1.0, an incredibly powered laptop that blows everything away.
2. Looks
The look of the Eurocom Monster 1.0 is taken from
Clevo’s W11ER frame. Clevo is a big company that
supplies laptop bodies for manufacturers like Eurocom,
allowing them to save money on manufacturing laptop
casings.
Overall, the look of the laptop is
simple. It’s a little generic, giving
untrained eyes the notion that the
laptop is just a netbook. In fact, it’s
a monster deep inside!
It sports a black matte finish, making it feel very nice, despite the overall plastic feel.
From afar, it looks like an ultraportable business laptop.
3. Display
This gaming laptop is meant to be an ultraportable, thus you get a small screen –
11.6 inches to be exact.
You get a 1366 x 768 screen resolution, which is perfect for this laptop. If you sell
your laptop and replace it with Monster you will not regret it. Everything looks nice,
especially if you choose the matte coating. Glare is reduced when you have a
matte coating!
Hardware
Now, let’s get to the main part – the reason why this laptop is called the Monster.
To begin with, it has a powerful third – generation Intel Core i7 processor. This gives
you incredible performance because it’s the top processor of Intel right now. It’s
used in every premium laptop out there.
In terms of graphics, you get an NVIDIA GeForce GT 650M, which is also another
high – end part used in expensive laptops. You get plenty of visual power with this
card. Benchmark games like Crysis run with high fps rates.
4. In terms of memory, the basic configuration starts with 4 GB, but you can also
choose 8 GB or 16 GB. At the most, you’ll only need up to 8 GB, because 16 GB is
overkill.
You also get a nice selection of ports. You get a VGA and HDMI port – perfect if
you have a friend that has a big monitor when you visit their home. You also get
two USB 3.0 ports and one USB 2.0 port. There’s also a headphone and microphone
jack and a 9 – in – 1 card reader.
5. Keyboard and Touchpad
As you’d expect from an 11.6 inch laptop, the keyboard is small. The great thing
about this laptop though, is that it is easy to type on. The only sad thing about the
keyboard is that it doesn’t have any backlighting.
With the touchpad, you get sensitive response, which is great for games. The
buttons are also firm to the touch.
6. Conclusion
You’ll certainly be using an external keyboard and mouse, so don’t complain
about the size of the laptop’s keyboard.
With such power, the Monster lives up to its name. It’s basically a gaming laptop
crammed into the body of a netbook. It’s insane!
Sell old laptop now and experience the W11ER Monster 1.0 laptop.
