Briefing on the Situation in the South-East
of Ukraine

2. Highlights in the occupied territories of Ukraine
Agenda:
- provide cease-fire regime;
- forces disengagement;
- heavy armament withdrawal;
- lift of transport blockade;
- improvement of the entry/exit points work;
- protection of the civilian infrastructure;
- exchange of the POWs.
It was agreed to pay for the drinking water in the
individual areas of Luhansk region

Russia cancelled customs fee
for the goods, which are
produced in the occupied
territories from approximately
100 enterprises, to include
”AVK” confectionery, which
currently is called “Lakond”
“International scientific-practical
conference” took place in
“Donetsk academy of the
management and state service”. It
was declared, that 200
representatives of temporary
occupied territories of the Eastern
Ukraine participated as well as
representatives of Crimea and 52
“foreign guests” from Russia,
Belarus, Kazahstan, Georgia,
Germany, Cyprus

with the order No 170 as of 03.05.2017 “About the prohibition of import of the

4. Highlights in the occupied territories of Ukraine
The retired people in the “DPR” and “LPR”
territories are not satisfied with the
decision made by the so-called “DPR”
authorities as for the possibility of forced
debts collection for utilities and the exit
ban for those who has such debts
The letter of "Chief of Department of
education" in Donetsk concerning the
improvement of preventive measures among
teachers of Donetsk and Snizhne secondary
schools as for their joining the "Donetskaia
respublika" organization.
Those who refuse to join this organization on a
"voluntary" basis must submit reports and
state the reason
Till the end of summer 2017 in the
territory of the so-called "DPR" all
cell phones operators, excluding
“Phoenix”, will be turned off

5. Highlights in the occupied territories of Ukraine
In the Crimean direction, the terrorist activities remain focused on the
"legalization" of the Crimean annexation by using propaganda measures and
demonstration of these regions belonging to the so-called "Russian World".
For this purpose, the Forum with the participation of the head of the Russian Federation
Council V.Matviyenko and the foreign representatives loyal to Russia took place in Yalta.
On June 4-6, 2017 in the Livadia Palace, the official name of the Forum is "Russian World
and Russian language: Historic roots and its development direction". Such representatives as
S.Aksonov, V.Konstantynov, O.Zaharchenko and I.Plotnytskyy took part in this event

6. ATO AREA SITUATION
Situation in the ATO area remains tense and has the tendency for further
escalation.
The worst situation was in Severodonetsk and Donetsk directions, where the
enemy increased the number of shellings of ATO units.
Purpose – to push the ATO force from their positions in the areas of so-called
“Bahmut way”, AVDIIVKA and Western outskirts of Donetsk

7. CONCLUSIONS RESULTING FROM THE SITUATION
WITHIN THE CONTEXT OF RUSSIAN-UKRAINIAN CONFLICT
In a short-term perspective the main enemy efforts will concentrate on
the prevention of ATO forward movement into the so-called “grey
area” by increasing shellings, first of all, shellings of the C2 bodies as
well as warehouses and reserves assets
It is not excluded, that the enemy will conduct local/assault actions in
Severodonetsk and Donetsk directions in order to recapture lost
positions in Zholobock area and improve tactical situation to West
from Donetsk
