There are around 2,500 different species of snakes, belonging to ten different families.<br />2. Here are some of the snakes different habitats:<br />- Underground burrows<br />- Treetops<br />- Rivers<br />- Deep in the ocean<br />- Deserts<br />- Rain forests<br />All of these suit different snake species needs.<br />3. Write three questions like the ones above with answers in the text.<br />What are some of the food snakes eat?<br />What size do snakes grow to?<br />How do snakes get warm?<br />What are the snakes predators?<br />Understanding - Show that you understand the information<br />4. Show Trigger words for a part of the snakes life.<br />Looks of snakes:<br />Long cylindrical bodies<br />No limbs<br />Smooth<br />Overlapping scales<br />No external ears<br />Forked tongue <br />Snakes are reptiles with long cylindrical bodies with no limbs. Their smooth overlapping scales are waterproof and also stop any water getting, allowing them to survive in hot dry places. Snakes have forked tongues that they flick out and collect scent particles, letting them know where prey of mates are.<br />6.
