Brainpower: World class technical skills 2. Innovation and entrepreneurship: Networks needed to translate ideas and skills into successful businesses 3. Branding: Strong stories that position a place 4. Quality, connected places: Physical development that supports quality infrastructure and “hot spots” of innovation 5. Civic collaboration: A pattern of leadership skills and behaviors that promotes partnerships and fast experimentation 2

By connecting these assets in new, open networks of innovation, we will also expand opportunities. Asset mapping begins the process of strengthening these open innovation networks. 3
