The realm of product design is a constantly changing environment where technology and style intersect. Every year introduces fresh challenges and exciting trends that mold the future of this captivating art form. In this piece, we delve into the significant trends set to influence the look and functionality of product design in the year 2024.
How Race, Age and Gender Shape Attitudes Towards Mental HealthThinkNow
Mental health has been in the news quite a bit lately. Dozens of U.S. states are currently suing Meta for contributing to the youth mental health crisis by inserting addictive features into their products, while the U.S. Surgeon General is touring the nation to bring awareness to the growing epidemic of loneliness and isolation. The country has endured periods of low national morale, such as in the 1970s when high inflation and the energy crisis worsened public sentiment following the Vietnam War. The current mood, however, feels different. Gallup recently reported that national mental health is at an all-time low, with few bright spots to lift spirits.
To better understand how Americans are feeling and their attitudes towards mental health in general, ThinkNow conducted a nationally representative quantitative survey of 1,500 respondents and found some interesting differences among ethnic, age and gender groups.
Technology
For example, 52% agree that technology and social media have a negative impact on mental health, but when broken out by race, 61% of Whites felt technology had a negative effect, and only 48% of Hispanics thought it did.
While technology has helped us keep in touch with friends and family in faraway places, it appears to have degraded our ability to connect in person. Staying connected online is a double-edged sword since the same news feed that brings us pictures of the grandkids and fluffy kittens also feeds us news about the wars in Israel and Ukraine, the dysfunction in Washington, the latest mass shooting and the climate crisis.
Hispanics may have a built-in defense against the isolation technology breeds, owing to their large, multigenerational households, strong social support systems, and tendency to use social media to stay connected with relatives abroad.
Age and Gender
When asked how individuals rate their mental health, men rate it higher than women by 11 percentage points, and Baby Boomers rank it highest at 83%, saying it’s good or excellent vs. 57% of Gen Z saying the same.
Gen Z spends the most amount of time on social media, so the notion that social media negatively affects mental health appears to be correlated. Unfortunately, Gen Z is also the generation that’s least comfortable discussing mental health concerns with healthcare professionals. Only 40% of them state they’re comfortable discussing their issues with a professional compared to 60% of Millennials and 65% of Boomers.
Race Affects Attitudes
As seen in previous research conducted by ThinkNow, Asian Americans lag other groups when it comes to awareness of mental health issues. Twenty-four percent of Asian Americans believe that having a mental health issue is a sign of weakness compared to the 16% average for all groups. Asians are also considerably less likely to be aware of mental health services in their communities (42% vs. 55%) and most likely to seek out information on social media (51% vs. 35%).

✅What is C++ Programming?
C++ is an enhanced and extended version of C programming language, developed by Bjarne Stroustrup in 1979 as part of his Ph.D. project. Bjarne developed what he called ‘C with Classes’ (later renamed C++) because he felt limited by the existing programming languages that were not ideal for large scale projects. He used C to build what he wanted because C was already a general-purpose language that was efficient and fast in its operations.

12 Companies Leading the Way in hyperbaric oxygen chambers
1. Achieving the muscles you want doesn't have to be as hard as you might think. Bodybuilding does take time,
effort and a lot of hard work, but by supplementing your nutritional intake with body building supplements, you
can become the size and shape you wish to be in a shorter time space and with less effort.
™
Body building is something you need to do over time by carrying out exercises such as weight lifting, bench
pressing, cross training and so on. These exercises work your muscles so that they become stronger and larger.
Taking body building supplements helps to speed up this process and also helps you to attain a larger physique.
There are many different types of body building supplements available for you to take, and each are designed for
a slightly different purpose. You can choose from creatine products, protein products, malto dextrin, glutamine
products and many more.
Creatine is a nutrient that is found naturally in foods including meats and other proteins. Everyone has creatine in
their muscle cells as it is the nutrient which enables us to use our muscles for heavy tasks. Taking creatine as a
body building supplement means that your muscles are able to take on a greater workload so to speak. It enables
you to work harder and lift heavier weights, meaning that as your muscles are worked harder, and therefore will
grow faster.
Protein shakes and protein bars are another essential body building supplement. Protein is the nutrient which
helps us to grow, so is obviously essential for muscle growth. Protein shakes and protein bars provide an extra
boost of protein which not only helps with muscle building, but also helps weight management, a good immune
system and bone support.
Malto dextrin is a popular supplement for bulking up the body. Malto dextrin is a starch product which you can
add to your usual protein shake to give your body a boost of easily absorbed nutrients. This product is ideal to
take before starting a workout, as it will provide you with extra energy, meaning you can work out for longer.
Glutamine usually comes under the form of capsules, and is an amino acid found in the skeletal muscles.
Glutamine helps your muscles to grow, recover and also to repair inogen oxygen generator themselves. It also
helps you to keep up a healthy immune system.
All body building supplements are safe to use, but must be used sensibly and with professional instruction.
Did you notice the glowing skin of the Olympians at the London Games? In addition to having well-toned, buff
bodies, they all seem to have flawless complexions as well. Just look at the stunning Natasha Hastings, the gold
medal track and field sprinter from Queens.
Celebrity skin care guru Joanna Vargas, owner of one of the best day spas in New York City, stresses to her clients
how important regular exercise is for healthy skin. Ms. Vargas tells her clients that exercise detoxifies the skin
2. through sweating and optimizes blood circulation. This is vitally important for the transport of vitamins, minerals
and nutrients throughout the body while also getting rid of waste. And exercise also boosts the flow of oxygen to
the cells, which in turn stimulates skin-plumping collagen synthesis in the dermis for more youthful skin.
What is an Oxygen Purifying Facial?
In addition to exercise and cultivating the best face care habits, this high profile facialist, advises her clients to eat
well and drink plenty of water. This simple holistic approach to skin care extends to her spa treatments such as the
Oxygen Purifying Facial. Praised in both Vogue and Allure, this treatment gently smoothens and soothes dull,
lifeless complexions, resulting in a healthy glow.
The oxygen is infused with a specially formulated antioxidant-rich serum and it is delivered directly into the skin,
flooding the tissues with vitamins, nutrients and minerals. This system of delivery is akin to hyperbaric oxygen and
working as a powerful antibacterial agent which destroys acne-causing bacteria on the surface of the skin and
clears the pores.
The treatment starts with cleansing and exfoliation to open and soften the pores and is concluded with toning,
moisturizing and a sunscreen application. The best aspect of this gentle facial rejuvenation is that one can return
to their normal beauty routine directly after. In fact, facial care products function far more effectively and make-up
can be applied to smooth, well-hydrated face.
Are there anti-aging benefits with oxygen face care?
As clients of this holistic day spa and a host of industry professional have been testifying, regular oxygen facials
will even out tone and increase the elasticity of your skin. As old skin cells are shed, this facial breathes new supple
life to worn faces. The healthy cell regeneration supports elastin and collagen production and keeps the dermis
hydrated which results in a youthfully radiant glow.
So even if your gym routine has not yet gotten back on track, take the time to get your skin into the best shape
possible by being mindful of what you eat and adhering to a daily routine that includes occasional revitalizing
oxygen facials. Even the gorgeous Natasha Hastings travels with an oscillating facial skin brush which should help
her cleanser to remove sunscreen, makeup and sweat."
We can't all have Olympian bodies, but gold medal skin is well within your reach.
