2. • One of the main elements that appealed to our audience was our news stories
that we had but more importantly the main story. This is because our main
story was on the programme ‘Skint’. We decided we would interview
somebody from the show and we successfully did this as we interviewed John
from the Shalom Youth Centre. We believe that this appealed to the audience
as he was actually from the show and we got his views and opinions on how
the show went.
• Another element that appealed to our audience was the jingle that we had.
Which is because it was really catchy and played numerous times throughout
our broadcast and we believe it caught on and got stuck in listeners heads.

3. • Another technique that appealed to our audience was the
editing techniques we used. One of them was the use of
fading in and fading out. This made the transition much
smoother when switching between news stories and other
clips of sound.
• Also another editing technique we used was adjusting the
volume of our sound bed and our audio from the interviews
because at times the interview would be too quiet and people
wouldn’t of been able to hear what was being said. So with
this happening we adjusted the volume so that the interview
was louder than the sounds bed.

4. • We got another group in our class to listen to our radio broadcast and
give us feedback based on who the target audience was. So they had
to take into account the age range that our radio station was aimed
at. Also that it was generally aimed at a specific gender because our
target audience didn’t have a specific gender.
What could be improved?
• We found out that some improvements could be made. One of them
could be that we could go into more detail with the stories as the
group next to us found that it wasn’t lengthy enough and we agreed
with this as this was something we found ourselves.
