6. CATEligibilityCriteria
◦ Candidates must have the bachelor degree.
◦ Candidates must have secured minimum 50% marks for general category (For SC/ST45%) in
their qualifying examination.
◦ Those who are pursuing can also apply.
◦ CA/CS/ICWA professional can also apply.
7. CATExam Pattern
◦ Will be conducted via online mode only i.e. Computer Based.
◦ Exam time duration will be 180 minutes.
◦ Multiple Choice questions will be asked in the examination.
◦ A total 100 Question will be asked in the CAT Examination.
8. CATSyllabus
There is no prescribed syllabus for CAT Exam.
The question will be asked from the below given topics:

10. CAT Admit Card
◦ Only candidates will be able to obtain the admission card that will successfully submit their
online application form.
◦ The CAT 2018 admission card will be provided to students via the online mode during the
fourth week of October 2018.
◦ Candidates will download the CAT room ticket by entering their username and password.
◦ The admission card contains details such as Candidate Name, Test Date, User ID /
Registration Number, PWD Status, and so on.
◦ It is mandatory to bring the admission card to the examination center on the day of the
exam.
11. CATResult
◦ Candidates willl check the CAT 2018 Result via online mode. It will be released in the second
week of January 2019. CATscore card will be made available via online mode through the
website. The authority may also intimate about the result to candidates individually. Candidates
will view their score through the login window.
12. CATCut off
◦ Students will get admission in various IIMs on the basis of cut-off. CAT Cut-off depend upon
the various terms like number of students, seats availability, exam difficulty, etc. CATcut-off will
be released by various IIMs. Cut-off will be published separately for various categories like NC-
OBC,ST,STand DA/PwD.
