Spinal Tumour
A spinal tumour may be intradural or extradural. A typical intradural tumour can
be intradural extramedullary (85%) or intradural intramedullary (15%). Intradural
tumours may include nerve sheath tumours like neurofibromas or swannomas, or
others like meningiomas. Intradural intramedullary tumour may be astrocytoma,
ependymomas, gliomas etc. Extradural tumours may be benign (osteoma,
osteoblastoma, chondroma, giant cell tumour, simple bone cyst, aneurysmal bone
cyst) or may be malignant like chordoma, metastatic deposits, malignant GCT,
multiple myeloma, chondrosarcoma, etc.
