1. County LEPC Meeting
• Good to meet the faces, and players from Industry
and response community, including troopers,
Sheriff Rep
• They are getting through by-laws.
• That was their 3rd meeting. My first.
• Gerry Morigerato (Momentive guy - is Chair).
• Didn't even get the chance to discuss out local
initiatives, but that’s OK
• We may need to adopt similar bylaws for local
steering committee, I can almost copy paste.

3. T.o.B. E.O.C. Objectives
1. update our town's local emergency response
and operations plans
2. conduct appropriate training and test the
operational plans through tabletops, mutual
aid drills and exercises that fit in with the
local fire department and county fire training /
drill schedules
Cooperation and inputs from public safety organizations,
town government, citizens and stakeholders (i.e. BLIA)
will be welcome to support these initiatives.

• Enhance Oil Spill Preparedness
In response to the increased volume of crude oil being transported
through New York State, the Budget provides funding for additional
staff dedicated to oil spill planning, training and response, consistent with
Governor Cuomo's Executive Order 125, which outlines steps the State is taking
to improve oil spill response and prevention. The Budget also provides the
necessary funding for planning and preparedness costs and ensures the
solvency of the Oil Spill Fund by increasing fees for oil transported through New
York.
• Increase investment in the Environmental Protection Fund
The enacted budget raises the Environmental Protection Fund to $177
million dollars, an increase of 32 percent since Governor Cuomo took
office. The $15 million increase will support increases in fourteen
categories, including land conservation, stewardship, and invasive
species control and prevention. The increase includes a new sub-
allocation for capacity grants to State Parks friends’ groups.
