How the ASPCA Helps
Dominique Lepper
What is the cause?
● This cause fights against animal cruelty, helps animals
into non-abusive or neglective homes. They also care for
pets.
● There are specific organizations that are spread
throughout the Unites States for this cause. These
organizations include the Animal Behavior Center, the
Animal Poison Control Center, the Bergh Memorial
Animal Hospital, the Mobile Spay/Neuter Clinic
Outreach, Grief Counseling, and Veterinary Outreach.
Each one of these organizations help out either the
animal itself or the animal’s owners.
Where can this cause be
found?
● This cause can be found worldwide. They
have worked in several places throughout the
United States. Many organizations can be
founded mostly in the United States.
How is this cause successful?
● In 1961, they did their first open heart
surgery on a dog
● In 1918, they successfully did surgery on a
horse’s knee cap.
● This is successful because open heart surgery
on a dog is very challenging. Also, when
horses get injured, they usually get put down
because they cannot heal fast enough.
Why is this cause relevant?
•The ASPCA is relevant because of the help
they put out for other people to do. They
really care about the animals that are
stranded across the country, even
worldwide. They will do anything to help
these animals, and they have many
fundraisers to help this cause.
