3. “WHY AM I HERE”
• Most animals that are in shelters, are there by no
fault of their own:
 Owners surrender
 Owner no longer able to care for pet
 Country seizures
 Abuse/Neglect
 Strays
 Crowded rescues
 Overpopulation
 Pets are not being neutered/spayed

4. About the Ngo
Sanwariya Social Group was started by Nipun and his school
friends. This Non-profit group mainly takes care of distressed,
unwell, homeless and injured people and animal provides them
with adequate care and treatment. The shelter currently has an
occupancy of approximately 100 beds and separate area for
animals that are being fed and taken care of. We believe that each
people and animal deserves love and care , and thus, we try our
very best to make sure they have a good environment and better
health to spend their lives in.

5. StrategicVision
We strive toward the day when no
healthy, treatable or rehabiliatable
companion animal will be euthanized
for lack of space or other resources.

6. Objective
■ Health – Protection from pain, injury, suffering and disease and treated if they
become ill or injured.
■ Behavior – the ability to behave naturally for their species eg. Play, run, dig, jump, fly
etc.
■ Diet – a suitable diet.This can include feeding appropriately for the pet’s life stage and
feeding a suitable amount to prevent obesity or malnourishment, as well as access to
fresh clean water.
■ Environment – a suitable environment.This should include the right type of home
with a comfortable place to rest and hide as well as space to exercise and explore.

7. The Issues of the Report
The issue that is occurring currently is that;

9. Approach
We created awareness amongst the people of our generation through an
Instagram page. The name of the page we gave SAVE_LOVEANIMALSSHELTER. We
changed our approach to online due to coronavirus lockdown. And we thought
Instagram is the best platform to promote our page as most of our generation is upgraded to
this application.

10. Details of the study
■ We did detailed study about this problem from google and other sources or from certain
websites dealing with this problem.
■ We did a study related to why there is need for animal shelters, how can we help them
with the same, which all NGO's are catering this problem and how stray animals
benefited with shelters.
■ With this deep research we found that all the NGO's are very welcoming and allows
anyone to initiate any kind of program which can benefit the stray animals and allows
donations in the form of money, food or any other resources.

11. Measurability and end result
We decide to take the topic 'Shelter for animals’ because it is an ongoing problem in our
country since ages which hasn’t been properly tackled till now. We did a detailed study
about this problem and researched about its causes. The NGO we are considering for this
project ‘Sanwaria Social Group’ is doing really a great job by providing shelters to animals
and people also giving them food . This NGO is a recognised NGO and encourages people
like us to help their NGO to grow and help the stray animal and homeless people with our
new ideas. With the help of the gathered information from the NGOs we could make an
Instagram page to aware people about this problem. And created awareness amongst the
people so that more people help in to tackle this problem.
