Description
:
The purpose of this program is to give students an opportunity to apply
knowledge and skills related to the area of Keyboarding and Business Skills.
The content includes but is not limited to a basic overview of current
business and information systems and trends and to introduce students to
the basics and foundations required for today’s business environments.
Emphasis is placed on developing proficiency with touch keyboarding and
fundamental word processing applications, so that they may be used as
communication tools for enhancing personal and work place proficiency in an
information-based society.

Expectations:
Student work submitted MUST be the original work of the student
and completed on their own. Students must submit their work by the
assigned due date to ensure the course is completed by the end of
the semester.
Evaluation The student’s grade will reflect graded lessons, quizzes, projects
and tests.

**Grade reflected in OdysseyWare is based upon successful completion of
lessons assigned through the current date. Past due lessons not submitted will
be taken into consideration upon averaging the actual grade.**
Interim Reports: Sept. 17th, Nov. 14th, Feb. 6th, May 1st
Report Cards: Jan. 9th, Jun 11th (ONLY Final semester grade will be posted on
the actual Report Card, no 1st or 3rd quarter grade given)

Late Work and
Make-up Work:
Students are expected to complete assignments on time. They will
need to make up any missed assignments by the listed due date in
OdysseyWare.
Rules for Class: 1) Come prepared to work. This means coming to class with
the correct materials and ATTITUDE!
2) Respect yourself, other people and all property.
3) Do not, under any circumstances, change anything on the
computer.
4) Unauthorized access to any software or unapproved
websites are prohibited.
5) No food, gum/candy or drink is allowed in the lab.
6) Any assistance needed should be asked of the Lab
Assistant or CVA Instructor only.
