Objectives:
At the end of the session, participants are expected to:
1. be acquainted with the key concepts in each
module;
2. reflect on current practice in relation to each
indicator; and
3. express reflections on the uses of the modules for
other teachers

It’s Time to Cook
1) You invited some friends over for a simple
dinner. Among the dishes you know, you are
asked to pick ONE to be the ‘star’ on the
dinner table.
2) List down the ingredients you need.
3) Then, write down the steps or instructions on
how to cook this dish. Your friends might get
interested about this dish and ask for it.

1) Were you able to pick the ‘star’ dish for the
dinner?
2) What do you think is the importance of listing
ingredients needed?
3) What do you think is the importance of writing
down the steps or instructions in cooking this
dish?
4) If your friends ask for it, what suggestions can
you give them if they will recreate this dish?
5) Can they have their way of cooking this dish?

Activity 1. ‘DeePeR into the Resource
Package’
1) It’s your time to choose one RP to read
for 15 minutes.
2) As you read, you shall answer the
guide questions.

Guide Questions
1. What indicator is being addressed by the module? Why
did you pick the module that illustrates the indicator?
2. Did you understand the indicator better after reading the
module?
3. What samples or illustrations of practice do you find
helpful?
4. Can you give other examples of practice that are not
presented in the module which can supplement the ones
written?
5. What do you like best about the module?

At this point, all participants who
worked on the same module, shall
work as a group. The group shall
summarize their answers on the given
question.

1) Each group representative shall pick one
strip of paper.
2) Written on each strip is a situation that
the participant/s are expected to act out.
3) The groups are given 5 minutes
preparation and 1 to 2 minutes
presentation.
Activity 2. ‘Role It, Play It’

Resource Package?
2. Do you think these modules are useful in the
given situations during the role playing
activity?
3. Can you give other instances or situations
when the use of PPST Resource Package is
needed?
4. What are your realizations in the activity?

A teacher who needs to reflect on his/her lesson planning
A teacher who needs to mentor another teacher on developing instructional
materials
A school head who needs to supervise teachers on choosing the appropriate
assessment strategies
A group of teachers who are part of the school-based LAC session who needs to
tackle about monitoring and reporting learners’ needs
A teacher who needs reference material for a small group discussion on the PPST
indicators
A teacher who needs prototype lessons per key stage and subject area
A teacher who needs a guide for crafting contextualized performance-based
activities
A teacher who wants to take his/her time understanding the indicators
An EPS who wants to share insights to a teacher on selecting activities that
address learners’ needs and interests
A teacher who wants to help another teacher understand and appreciate the
indicators

Use it when you…
1) reflect on your own classroom practices, and ensure
that your teaching practices are aligned with the
indicators;
2) want to mentor beginning teachers so they become
better in their practice;
3) are a part of a group of teachers who need materials
for your school-based Learning Action Cell (LAC)
sessions in order to (i) learn more about the PPST
and (ii) innovate on practices using the samples in the
resource material as guide; and
4) want to develop or expand the current work by (i)
providing more examples of practices or (ii) working
on other career stages or indicators other than the 12
presented in this package.

Other uses…
1) as reference material for small group discussions,
teacher-to-teacher consultation, peer teaching and
other events related instances;
2) as suggested material for developing lesson plan,
performance tasks and enabling activities per key
stage area and subject area;
3) as go-to guide in understanding the indicators; and
4) as aid in self-paced learning of the indicators.

4 resource package walkthrough

  • 1. RCTQ Walkthrough of the MAY GRACE D. SALAZAR Region IV-A CALABARZON
  • 2. RCTQ Objectives: At the end of the session, participants are expected to: 1. be acquainted with the key concepts in each module; 2. reflect on current practice in relation to each indicator; and 3. express reflections on the uses of the modules for other teachers
  • 3. RCTQ It’s Time to Cook 1) You invited some friends over for a simple dinner. Among the dishes you know, you are asked to pick ONE to be the ‘star’ on the dinner table. 2) List down the ingredients you need. 3) Then, write down the steps or instructions on how to cook this dish. Your friends might get interested about this dish and ask for it.
  • 4. RCTQ 1) Were you able to pick the ‘star’ dish for the dinner? 2) What do you think is the importance of listing ingredients needed? 3) What do you think is the importance of writing down the steps or instructions in cooking this dish? 4) If your friends ask for it, what suggestions can you give them if they will recreate this dish? 5) Can they have their way of cooking this dish?
  • 6. RCTQ Activity 1. ‘DeePeR into the Resource Package’ 1) It’s your time to choose one RP to read for 15 minutes. 2) As you read, you shall answer the guide questions.
  • 7. RCTQ Guide Questions 1. What indicator is being addressed by the module? Why did you pick the module that illustrates the indicator? 2. Did you understand the indicator better after reading the module? 3. What samples or illustrations of practice do you find helpful? 4. Can you give other examples of practice that are not presented in the module which can supplement the ones written? 5. What do you like best about the module?
  • 8. RCTQ At this point, all participants who worked on the same module, shall work as a group. The group shall summarize their answers on the given question.
  • 10. RCTQ 1) Each group representative shall pick one strip of paper. 2) Written on each strip is a situation that the participant/s are expected to act out. 3) The groups are given 5 minutes preparation and 1 to 2 minutes presentation. Activity 2. ‘Role It, Play It’

  • 12. RCTQ 1. What are the possible uses of the PPST Resource Package? 2. Do you think these modules are useful in the given situations during the role playing activity? 3. Can you give other instances or situations when the use of PPST Resource Package is needed? 4. What are your realizations in the activity?

RCTQ A teacher who needs to reflect on his/her lesson planning A teacher who needs to mentor another teacher on developing instructional materials A school head who needs to supervise teachers on choosing the appropriate assessment strategies A group of teachers who are part of the school-based LAC session who needs to tackle about monitoring and reporting learners’ needs A teacher who needs reference material for a small group discussion on the PPST indicators A teacher who needs prototype lessons per key stage and subject area A teacher who needs a guide for crafting contextualized performance-based activities A teacher who wants to take his/her time understanding the indicators An EPS who wants to share insights to a teacher on selecting activities that address learners’ needs and interests A teacher who wants to help another teacher understand and appreciate the indicators
  • 14. RCTQ Use it when you… 1) reflect on your own classroom practices, and ensure that your teaching practices are aligned with the indicators; 2) want to mentor beginning teachers so they become better in their practice; 3) are a part of a group of teachers who need materials for your school-based Learning Action Cell (LAC) sessions in order to (i) learn more about the PPST and (ii) innovate on practices using the samples in the resource material as guide; and 4) want to develop or expand the current work by (i) providing more examples of practices or (ii) working on other career stages or indicators other than the 12 presented in this package.
  • 15. RCTQ Other uses… 1) as reference material for small group discussions, teacher-to-teacher consultation, peer teaching and other events related instances; 2) as suggested material for developing lesson plan, performance tasks and enabling activities per key stage area and subject area; 3) as go-to guide in understanding the indicators; and 4) as aid in self-paced learning of the indicators.
  • 16. RCTQ Activity 3: Think about possible scenarios in schools. Complete the chart. I will use the PPST Resource Package… When? How?
