The British broadcasting corporation (bbc) is a public broadcaster in the UK and one of the largest
broadcasting Organization in the world. Every house in UK that has a television must pay for a TV licence.
As the bbc gets its money from TV licences. The bbc also sells its programmes to other broadcasting
companies in the world.
BBC is popular by the internet, people and bbc iplayer.
BBC has kids channel which could entertain the kids with cartoon. BBC provided suitable channel for the
kids to watch. The revenue will be huge as the amount of children watch it is huge.
The target audience for bbc will be adults and the target audience for the cbbc is children. BBC is aimed at
adults because it contains news and other various of problems that adults will be interested in.
Channel 4 advertising and how they make money
channel 4 is a publicly- owned, commercially -funded public service broadcaster. They do not receive any
public funding and have a remit to be innovative, experimental and distinctive.
Channel 4 was launched on 2nd November with a unique business model. They are funded predominantly
by advertising and sponsorship but unlike other broadcasters such as ITV, channel 4 is not shareholder
owned.

Fixed term is when you work for a fixed amount of time. E.g 6 months and then you stop working with
that particular contract unless you’re hires permanently.
Examples of fixed term employees are:

shift work is when you work for asset period of time e.g. 9-5. A shift can be during the day or night.
A Freelancer is someone who is self employed in the art self employment. The main point of self

A film director has to be creative to avoid plagiarism. A director is the main person in a production. ’’they
are the metaphorical glue that hold the project together without them there would be no film’’. A film
director should know locations which suits the story of the plot. The director also decides the costumes that
the actors / actress wear. The directors have to decide on everything as in the location, time and day. The
director must stay all day during the movie otherwise everything will go wrong. The directors role is the
main part of the film.

A camera operator should know the angles and its based on the camera man if the movie is successful or
not because the way it is shot the better it looks. The camera man must listen to the director because its his
film. The director must tell the camera man what to do and direct him as he wants the film to be like. The
director will always stand next to the camera man telling him what to do. A camera man must be always on
time to each shoots. The camera must be able to move quickly and get ready to shoot next scene. He must
be able to set up everything very quickly.
7. job: costume designer
A costume designer is someone who makes the costume for the film as the director tells them. They should
know which design will look good on the actors and they should be able to create a outstanding costume
which will stand out. They should be able set a decent deadline to be collected or delivered. This deadline
must be dead on otherwise the film will be delayed and the film will not be finished on the estimated date.
A costume designer also must use their own material.

A script writer is someone who writes the story, they must be creative and cant be copied from another
film or the film will be banned. Once is used cant be used again because its patented. The script writer
must know how he could twist the story and what could make the film going and more viewers. The script
writer must use his own knowledge and put down his ideas to get this film to be successful. The can be
sometime be based on the script writer.

years, contributed to the evolution of television. As with most inventions,television’s development
depended upon previous inventions, and more than one individuals contributed to the development of
television, as we know it today.
14. WHAT HAVE BEEN THE SIGNIFICANT CHANGES TO THE FILM INDUSTRY IN RECENT
YEARS?
Firstly technology wise there is many changes as few years back there wasn’t any 4K cameras but now
they are here so there is a a lot of difference since before and now. There is many high quality cameras out
now so movies are in high definition.
Secondly, few years back there was projectors which was not that good but now there are clean as there
will not be any disturbance.
Finally, the sound cinemas had before wasn’t clear enough plus all the sounds that were in the film were
not dubbed properly as they didn’t have any good facilities.
