As a Project Coordinator and Technical Expert, my duties focused in:
 Supervising the implementation of activities stablished in the IDB-MIF project and of other
complementary projects led by ARM.
 Articulating actions and strategies for the achievement of 4 main project components
seeking to strengthen local and regional capacities; foster the exchange and transfer of
good practices; support the access to ethical markets; and to develop and promote
knowledge management and communication tools.
 Assuring coordinated work among network allies in different countries.
 Leading a Monitoring and Evaluation process.
 Supporting budget allocation, accountability, contracting and acquisition processes
according to the guidelines provided by the IADB-MIF
 Analyzing and consolidating reports according to ARM’s needs as well as to the IDB-MIF
requirements.
 Identifying, integrating and systematizing regional experiences, risks, lessons learned and
results.
 Developing tools and methodologies that support adequate implementation processes that
foster sustainable development principles considering a human rights based approach,
gender mainstreaming, and environmental justice.
 Identifying and reporting risks to the project unit and to the diverse key partners and
stakeholders in Colombia, Peru and Bolivia.
 Organizing meetings with the national multi-stakeholder’s committees in Colombia, Peru
and Bolivia in order to: integrate their recommendations and jointly plan project phases
and methodologies; identify local experiences and carry out knowledge sharing activities;
seek south-south experience exchange and local key stakeholder’s support; strengthen
regional knowledge management tools; and report and transfer the diverse experiences
acquired throughout the project implementation phase.
 Organizing regional and local workshops as well as the technical assistance needed to
achieve the objectives per component, while at the same time strengthening local capacity.
 Keeping a constant communication with the IDB-MIF
 Supporting strategic processes to strengthen the organization, its mission and its network.

As a Focal Point my duties included those of a project manager as well as those of a technical
consultant. The program was funded by the Spanish MDG Fund and integrated 7 UN agencies that
focused their work in the most vulnerable populations in Mexico located in Chiapas, Veracruz and
Tabasco. Throughout the program implementation phase I organize and led over 30 local meetings
and/or workshops.
As a national consultant my duties focused in supporting and/or developing adequate strategies to
enhance:
 Democratic governance;

 Effective participatory processes and methodologies;
 Disaster risk management and water adaptation to climate change;
 Healthy schools, water, sanitation and hygiene education;
 Integration and promotion of urban water monitoring groups;
 Development of inclusive water and climate change public policy processes;
 Multi-stakeholder’s agreements of collaboration;
 Development and implementation of monitoring and evaluation tools.
 Develop knowledge management tools.
As a project manager my duties included:

The program was funded by the Spanish MDG Fund and integrated 7 UN agencies that focused their work in the most vulnerable populations in Mexico located in Chiapas, Veracruz and Tabasco. Throughout the program implementation phase I organize and led over 30 local meetings and/or workshops. As a national consultant my duties focused in supporting and/or developing adequate strategies to enhance:  Democratic governance;

SILLER CONTRERAS  Effective participatory processes and methodologies;  Disaster risk management and water adaptation to climate change;  Healthy schools, water, sanitation and hygiene education;  Integration and promotion of urban water monitoring groups;  Development of inclusive water and climate change public policy processes;  Multi-stakeholder’s agreements of collaboration;  Development and implementation of monitoring and evaluation tools.  Develop knowledge management tools. As a project manager my duties included:  Project planning, implementation, monitoring and evaluation;  Budget planning, resource allocation and accountability;  Development of work plans; coordination of workshops and meetings;  Human resource management (national and local consultants);  Representing UN HABITAT in the UN Joint Program Committee;  Carrying out communication and outreach activities;  Development and implementation of inter-agency strategies;  Development of strategies for monitoring the contribution to the MDGs and to local governance;  Program reporting according to UN HABITAT´s guidelines as well as to the donors requirements (Spanish MDG-F);  Report to UN HABITAT and to the UN Joint Program Coordinator Integrate and systematize lessons learned.
