1. Why teach PDHPE in Primary
School?
Good Habits should be developed early in life. Through the
inclusion of PDHPE in the school curriculum, children will be
exposed to the importance of movement, healthy eating,
nurturing friendships and positive self-esteem.

2. PDHPE covers a broad spectrum and can
include:
• Dancing
• Creating recipes
• Road Safety Presentation
• Football

3. PDHPE
PDHPE encourages:
• Communication
• Celebration
• Team-work
• Decision-Making

4. PDHPE enhances other KLA’s. For example, it
can provide links to numeracy (measuring
ingredients for a recipe); literacy (reading road
signs); creative arts (dancing).

BUT MOST IMPORTANTLY:
YOU’RE SUPPOSED TO HAVE
