1.2 Overview of the Current State of the Technology


       Grace of Shekinah School the name which means, GOD’S PRESENCE or GOD’S

DWELLING PLACE was established on the 8th of December 1988. The GSS was given

government recognition on March 22, 1999. The GSS Grade School followed less than 3 months

later on June 4, 1999. The High school recognition department was offended on the same year.

The Grace of Shekinah School believes that early education recognizes each child as a gift, a

unique person capable of learning, Growing and Developing his/her own potential.


       Grace of Shekinah School has their owned library and it’s is located at the 2nd floor of

their school building. Because of the continued growth of the student’s population, they decided

to use the old library as one of the classroom. And their library is temporary located at a

container van near the entrance gate. Grace of Shekinah School has a total of 1,138 student and

51 staff and faculty.


       Grace of Shekinah School allows the student to borrow books every day. There is no

maximum number of books to be borrowed and no penalties for the due book. There has no

permanent Librarian. Mrs. Rosele Mendoza is acting librarian only.


       Grace of Shekinah School still using Manual Library System, when borrowing a book the

student must fill up their name and section in the log-book. There has no form to be filling up.


       Grace of Shekinah School has no reservation for books, because if the students are first in

the library he/she are in the top priority to borrow the book.
There procedure of borrowing books are first come first serve, every student must be first

in the library to reserve to get the books to be borrow.


       The number of the books in their library is more or less than 2000 books, the information

of the books does not use the decimals and back-cutters number they are only viewing the title of

the books. They do not use card catalog; the books are placed by subjects on the shelves.


       If the student damage or lost the books the librarian will required the students for a

replacement on the book. The price of the replacement depends on the book.


       When returning the books in the library the students are required to sign on the logbook

for verification of returned books.


       The librarian are checking all the transactions of the students through logbook quarterly,

they are checking the logbook for unreturned books, So that they can inform the students to

settled the unreturned books.

responsible and God-loving members of the community, competent to face the challenges of life

through a balanced educational program that fosters excellence in building a society enjoying the

fulfillment of life.
