Little Readers' Nook is an Early Literacy and Reading Program for 2-6 year olds in India. We are looking for storytellers to take the magic of stories to all parts of India.

2. Why Read Aloud with Young Children?
Research shows brains develop at an
astonishing rate in the first 6 years of life.
Exposing young children to a wide variety of
good books in these critical years:
• sparks imagination,
• develops vocabulary and language skills,
• provides exposure to the world and
• instills a lifelong love of books and
reading.

3. Our storytellers conduct thematic story sessions for 3-6
year olds. Every month, we introduce a new theme.
Each weekly hour-long session comprises:
• interactive story narration,
• story retelling with props,
• a role-play or art-craft activity,
• vocabulary discussion,
• a take-home early literacy worksheet.
We pick world-renowned books and our ECE expert
designs props, activities and worksheets for the books.

We focus on sparking a child’s imagination,
developing language skills, and above all,
nurturing a love for reading books.

Our current team of storytellers and supporting
consultants comprises young women from diverse
backgrounds - from early childhood education experts
and preschool teachers to former bankers, lawyers,
entrepreneurs, software engineers and HR
professionals - we have them all!
The one thread that binds us together is
a passion for children’s books and the incredible joy we
experience reading with young children.

5. Join Our Team!
Are you passionate about children’s books, fluent in the English language, happy to work with
children and looking for flexi-work options in your neighbourhood? We are looking for you!
We provide our storytellers training, brand association and continued support in the form of
online promotions and theme bags for a fresh new theme every month.
There is a nominal joining fee of Rs. 8000 which includes training. Further association will be on
a revenue-sharing basis.
