This document presents a novel vehicle security system using wireless technology. The proposed system provides automated vehicle tracking and monitoring to improve safety. It has several modules:
1. A tracking module uses GSM to send the vehicle's location and status via SMS alerts to authorized users.
2. A drowsiness module uses IR sensors to detect if the driver is drowsy and prevent accidents.
3. An identification module uses RFID tags and sensors to recognize special zones like school areas and send alerts to prevent accidents.
The system aims to reduce vehicle theft, improve accident prevention and provide efficient fleet management using GPS, GSM, IR and RFID technologies for automated monitoring and alerts.

3. Introduction
A vehicle tracking and monitoring system is a total security protection and fleet
management solution, By using GSM and GPS technology.
Vehicle theft identification
A prevention of accident due to drowsiness of the driver.
State and local agencies are finding solutions to improve the mobility, efficiency and safety
in order to improve the safety driving in public.
Current Transport facility is suffering with many issues.
Accident risk management
Traffic rule violation control
Traffic signal management
4. Functional:
Through the GSM the SMS is sent to the Authorized User.
Through the GPS the current location of the vehicle is trapped.
IR Sensor is used for drowsiness detection.
RFID tags are used to identify the Zebra Crossing, School Zone etc.
Nonfunctional:
Security: the application is accessed only by the permitted users.
Usability: Validation is provided for each forms to reduce the error.
Maintainability: the application is user friendly and can be maintained
without any persons support
Functional and nonfunctional requirements
5. Proposed system
In the proposed system, the system provides a fully automated tracking and monitoring of
the vehicle which is helpful for vehicle driver, owners, passengers safety and it also
provides the accurate arrival time of the vehicle at particular location or stop.
Since the system facilitates efficient tracking solution, the cost and man power reduced. In
the monitoring and updating mechanism
The GSM module transmits the vehicle status to the owner and user by using web page in
the Smartphone
IR Sensors are used to avoid the accidents when the driver is drowsy.
RFID Tags are used to prevent accidents at the School Zone & Hospital Zones.
9. Comparing
Existing vehicle security
systems
When the vehicle comes in contact with
an external object or intruder the vibrating
system generates an alarm and alerts the
owner. If the owner is nearby then he can
check what has happened.
Technology used in this
project
GSM based password authentication is added to
the remote control systems. When the remote is
used to unlock the vehicle door, the GSM
modem incorporated in the vehicle will ask the
owner for password authentication and the owner
has to send the password through SMS.
11. Comparing
Existing Drowsiness
Detection
This technology uses an Image
Processing system to keep track of
changes in the facial features.
Technology used in this
project
The drowsiness detector involves a sensor
mounted opposite to the face of the driver and
the sensor continuously monitors the driver
whether he is drowsy or awake based on the
time period of closure of the eyes.
13. Technology used in this project
RFID is a technology used to record the presence of an object using
radio signals.
A typical RFID system consists of an RFID reader, tags (chips), and
at least one antenna.
RFID provides an alert message on LCD display when it recognizes
the object.
