1. The history of the
NORWOOD MEMORIAL
The diary of Andy G. Kennedy
2.
Today they speak of a war brewing. My father says war is
a bad thing. I feel like signing up and enlisting my life in
this. I, Andy G. Kennedy only 16 summers old have made
my decision. I will fight in the war. My father is the
principal of a school, Norwood Primary. I shall miss him.

3.
The war has started. I left my father a week ago. He
seemed angry that I was leaving. I am upset that the
last I may see of him is his scowling face.

4.
After losing my diary 5 years to the day I have come
back from the war. I was shot two years back and my
father helped build a monument for all the good lads at
my Dad’s school. I lost two of my closest friends, Jack
Jenkins and Daniel van Jansson. I shall miss them. My
arm where I was shot is now fully healed.
