Toilet Paper Assignment
For this assignment, I wrote the years and events as I unrolled the toilet paper. Eight out of the
sixteen events were on the first twelve sheets. After marking down all the events and unrolling the
whole roll of toilet paper I rolled it back up carefully. While counting the number of sheets of the
roll was tedious, I found rolling it back up was the task that really wore out my patience. Rolling the
toilet paper back up really put the passage of deep time between each of these events into
perspective for me. What I would normally consider as ancient or of distant past, such as pyramids,
suddenly become something that happened recently. The task of writing down the events on the
correct sheets of the roll made me realize that there is so much

Septic Tank Friendly Toilet Paper
2 Household Items That Will Put Less Stress On A Septic Tank For homeowners that have a septic
tank, it is important that you do not overburden the tank with things that should not go through your
home's plumbing. You may not realize it, but it's even possible for certain dishwasher detergents to
have a harmful effect if you are not carful. If you want your home's septic tank to last a long time,
use these two products. Septic Tank Friendly Toilet Paper While you can be diligent about the
amount of toilet paper that you use, you cannot monitor the toilet paper usage of others in your
home. If you have people in your home that go a little overboard with their toilet paper usage,
consider switching to a toilet paper that is designed specifically ... Show more content on

You'll be paying a slight premium for the toilet paper, but it will be worth it in the end. You'll find
yourself needing to pump your septic tank less, which could offset the cost of the septic tank
friendly toilet paper. Just remember that switching toilet paper will not eliminate the need for septic
tank pumping. It will need to be done eventually. Liquid Dishwashing Detergent Dishwashing
detergent pods are becoming more popular with homeowners because of how easy they are to use.
They have the exact amount of detergent measured for your dishes, and they don't make a mess
when putting them in. Unfortunately, the plastic pods don't dissolve completely, and only turn into
crumbs of plastic. A septic tank needs all the waste to be organic in order for it to break it all down.
That's why you should avoid using the plastic pods, and stick to liquid dishwashing detergent that
will go straight down the drain without any plastic left behind. Another way to assist your septic
tank when using a dishwasher is to make sure that it is using very hot water. The detergent will
break down chemically much easier when the water is as hot as it can be. Cold water will cause the
detergent to turn into solid chunks that can get caught in the pipes going to your home's septic

Toilet Training Research Paper
For boys and girls alike, the initial trip to the potty (a bowl used by small children as a toilet)
remains a huge deal for both the baby and the parent. It tells us, the parents that our little one is
currently displaying signs of independence. Your little one may show interest in a basic potty, a
potty that sings when you pretend to flush it or in using a standard toilet. Either way, this
demonstrates to you that your baby is now on the right track in the beginning phase of toilet
training. In addition to your eager little one, you will also require plenty of patience, a potty/toilet,
pull ups or underwear and a mattress protector for the toilet training process.
As a parent the key step in Toilet Training is taking your baby's lead.

Essay On The Murderers
I was gathering a cluster of pearls on the beach when hazy mist cleared over the azure sea and a
gargantuan silhouette emerged before my very eyes, a dragon! On this dragon were fierce–looking
warriors with eyes of solid hatred.
I went through what I had just seen for a brief moment and then charged into the monastery as if I'd
been fired by a catapult, with a glance back to make sure I wasn't making it up. "DRAGON!" is
what I repeatedly screamed, I think half of our little population lost any ability to hear in that
moment. But it was true, no lie, we were under attack.
Genuinely terrified for my life, I sprinted straight through into the dungeons. After passing many
criminals (murderers, more murderers, even more murderers and a toilet ... Show more content on

He had a threatening look on his tattooed face with a long, blond beard, tied in a plait. Power
seemed to radiate from his hammer as he swung it towards my head to crush it to breadcrumbs. And
I was going to let it happen, until Sid shoved me out of the way and sense overtook fear as the leader
of my confused brain, along with bravery and the will to fight. The hammer missed and demolished
the wall behind my position as of two seconds ago. I backed into the wall, or what was left of it, and
I took a stumble...
I gracefully fell, screaming my head off, and I thought I was done for. However, unlike most people
here, I can swim. In one movement, I tried to kick off my footwear only to find out that I was
barefoot. I soared through the air as if an angel and beautifully landed the perfect (and also painful)
belly flop. I saw on the horizon the dragon, so madness took over and I shot off at a wonderful one
mph. As I got closer, I realised that Sid was right. This was no dragon, it was a huge viking
longship! I clambered aboard and started to sail off, however, I thought that this was selfish and
started to turn round to rescue my friends. But as I turned round I saw something that made me look
away in disgust. A marauder threw his axe and it sailed

Stop Up Toilet Research Paper
The primary thing ought to do when confronting a stopped up toilet is making inquiries. Do you
have any young children? Would they be able to have tossed a little toy down the toilet? Is this a
typical stop up? Has anybody dropped anything into the toilet and attempted to flush it down as
opposed to hauling it out? It is best for you to answer me now, at that point for me to squander a
large portion of a day and afterward discover what I ought to do. After all, reality saves them cash.
Apparently, you are doing this without anyone's help, so you don't need to pose these inquiries, yet
ask those in your family if require be.
In the wake of finding the solutions, I will either utilize a plunger or a toilet auger, at times called a
snake. Standard stop up I dive, everything else I wood screw.
Unclogging To Unclog a Toilet
I lean toward a chime formed or accordion style plunger. These will give you significantly more
power. If there isn't much water in the toilet, then include a little by pushing down on the lever

Run with the more costly one, recall it will pay for itself the first occasion when you utilize it.
Haul out the auger's handle; this brings the snake part into the pole to have the capacity to manage
the head into the toilet opening. Drive the leader of the snake to the extent you can, on the off
chance that you don't go insufficiently far you will scratch your toilet bowl. Presently turn the
handle clockwise and push down in the meantime. When hauling out the snake, I simply lift the
handle part up to the extent that I can. On the off chance that the snake stall out you may need to
give it a turn while hauling out. Regularly, however, it is best to attempt and haul the auger out
without turning. In some cases, if there is for each or a toothbrush in the toilet the snake will take
hold of

Captain Underpants Short Story
A large orange hairy monster by the name of Captain Underpants walked home from work. He was
well known in Flush Away City for his underpants powers. As he approached his home he realized
something was wrong. His house had been covered in toilet paper! He ran towards the door. He
found a toilet plunger with a note taped to it. It read: We have your wife Martha! Captain
Underpants was shocked! He knew who had done this; it was Dr. Plunger and Dr. Charmin. Captain
Underpants knew that their secret lair was located at Creepy Cliff. In order to get there he would
have to travel a long way. Captain Underpants was determined to find his wife Martha.

Captain Underpants took out some underwear to quickly patch up the holes in the bridge. He wanted
to make sure that this didn't happen to the next person that crossed the bridge.
Captain Underpants continued along the path. In order to get to the secret layer he would have to go
through a sewer. This could be dangerous because the sewer is filled with deadly rats. Captain
Underpants entered the sewer by climbing down a ladder. It was dark which made it hard for
Captain Underpants to see. Once his eyes adjusted to the darkness, he saw dozens of deadly rats. In
order to get through the sewer he would have to fight off all of the deadly rats.
The rats headed straight towards him, he started to shoot his underwear at them. They came faster
and faster. More and more rats had appeared. Captain Underpants was running out of time. A tall
black hairy cat had jumped out of nowhere. She started moving the rats out of the way with her
sharp claws. Captain Underpants continued to help clear the rats out of the way. Captain Underpants
was amazed by how fast the monster cat was getting rid of the rats. They reached the end of the
sewer and almost all of the rats were gone. Captain Underpants got rid of the last couple of

Reasons: Why Kyoto Is Better Than Bangkok
Every country must have their own' good points, some are good for travelling, some are good for
living and some are perfect for treating. In the present Japan is famous in this situation even the
place around city of Japan that called Kyoto. Kyoto also has many good places for us to stay and if
we compare the Kyoto with Bangkok we will know that, Kyoto is better choice for every person to
live than Bangkok.
About safety and security, there are some reasons that Kyoto has more safety and security than
Bangkok. First, in Kyoto, the traffic light for walking across the crosswalk is like a rule for people to
follow so the number of car accidents is less than Bangkok. Japanese people will not walk across the
crosswalk until the traffic light for the pedestrian crossing light turn to a green color while Thai
people will walk across the crosswalk in every situation. Kyoto has the penalty for their people if
they do not follow the rule ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
First Kyoto people always eat the fresh ingredient and meat while Bangkok people always eat
frozen or fast food. In Kyoto people will buy food in the fresh market that the fish is just catching on
the morning of that day, the vegetable with non chemical and the meat that's not an old mate of
yesterday. So that's why Japanese people seldom sick. Second the Kyoto atmosphere is better than
Bangkok. While Thai people always go to the supermarket and buy some frozen food, then use the
microwave to heat up the food, the vegetable is always harsh chemicals and also the meat is coming
from yesterday or even last week. Because of the area around Kyoto is fulfill with the trees
everywhere, less toxic gas from cars and has a less high building or factory so it makes the
atmosphere here is fresh, clean and can breathe easily. Different from Bangkok that nearby always
surround with high building, cars with traffic jam and less tree since it's become an area for

The Ever Changing Definition Of Home
The Ever Changing Definition of Home (change title)
I guess one might call it naivete, but at first, I simply associated home with the single definition of
where an individual lived or as something synonymous to an address. As I progressed into high
school, and moved yet once again, I realized that was not the case. Now I believe home is an
atmosphere created by the people that are surrounding me. I can be anywhere and feel at home as
long as I'm with those people. My home is ever changing and developing as new people come in and
out of my life. The unforgettable memories and feelings of comfort and love created by the people
surrounding me are the cornerstone of my idea of home.
My house was teepeed or toilet papered during my last week in California. My older sister and I
both woke up disoriented, to our dog barking. We sleeply opened the front door assuming he had to
pee, but when we stepped out of the house we saw white. There were countless rolls of toilet paper
hanging from the countless number of trees. We stood there stunned. Already frazzled, I
remembered how my mom had warned us that if we wanted to get our security deposit returned on
our rented house, the house would have to be in tip–top condition for the inspection. Our house had
never been t–ped before. Why did it have to be tped the day of the inspection?
Our backyard was huge, so I marveled at the amount of time, effort, and toilet paper the pranksters
had exhausted to cover the large ground stretching

Advantages And Disadvantages Of Flying Toilets
PeePoo's creator is Anders Wilhelmson, a Swedish architect and professor. It is omni present in
Kenya, Nigeria and Bangladesh as a sanitation business as a substitute for toilets. Peepoo recognises
that merely building toilets is not enough and making people use the toilet is of critical importance.
It is the behaviour intention that diffuses an innovative product. It must be applicable in slums where
sanitation is absent.
Without toilets, people resort to relieving themselves in plastic bags, which they throw as far away
from their home as they can; a phenomenon known as flying toilets. In some areas, flying toilets
have become a public health concern.
Flying toilets are a common problem in urban areas like slums. To provide access to safe and
acceptable toilet system in urban areas with a dense and generally poor population, one has to face
the challenges of the lack of availability of space, willingness to pay and the absence of an
institutional infrastructure. The Peepoo toilet could be an alternative solution. It is a personal,
biodegradable toilet for single–use. It can be used either sitting or standing, where and whenever the
user wants and it is easy to carry around.
The PeePoo is a bag that contains five grams of urea, which breaks down waste into ammonia ...

Within the bag there is a thin inner–gauze (26 x 24 cm), and a filling of urea . When the urea comes
into contact with faeces or urine, a breakdown into ammonia and carbonate takes place, driven by
enzymes, which are naturally occurring in faeces. As the urea is broken down, the pH value of the
material increases and hygienisation begins. Organisms, which produce diseases (pathogens) and
may be found in faeces (bacteria, viruses and parasites) are inactivated within 2 to 4 weeks
depending on the surrounding temperature , In the end, when the Peepoo degrades in the soil, the
ammonia acts as a harmless fertiliser taken up by

Stereotypes: A Short Story
Life Philosophy 101 for the squirrelly senior citizens
"Excuse me, Is there a toilet on memory lane? Where?"
I often sit at my desk looking at old snapshots. Some of the pictures are very old. They are brown
and white. Some of them feel like they are made of metal. These photos may be around the
beginning of the 20th century.
I have numerous photos of world war II vintage. I have several pictures of my dad with Japanese
POW's on Okinawa near the end of the war.
Some "recent" photos were taken in the post war era. The timeline runs from the late 40's right up to
the digital age. I have many photos of people and I don't know who most of them are. I know that
many of them would not be called handsome or pretty. Some of them are downright ugly. I hope
they are not my relatives but they probably are. Sadly I have no relatives left that could identify
these strange looking people. No one to say, " Oh, that is uncle Percy, the bootlegger. He got shot up
and killed while crossing the border from Canada in 1931." It was rumored that I did have an uncle
who did run alcohol across the border and got chased by the government men. He broke his leg
during the chase and I don't think they caught him. I guess it would be alright to mention it now. He
died 35 years ago. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

As you kneel down on the hard wood floor in cabin 12, the smell of 4–day–old, moldy tube socks
that have been soaked in lake water sneak into your nose. They were balled up under one of the
beds, and left to ferment in the muggy summer heat. As a cabin keeper at Merritt Reservoir, you will
have many bizarre encounters in the short three–month summer break that you spend there. You
need a variety of supplies to clean different types of cabins, and they can be classified as the busy
work cabins, party cabins, mystery cabins, and the outhouses. The supplies range from typical
cleaning utensils such as rags and window cleaner, extra toilet paper and towels, Febreze, and
rubber gloves for sticky situations. However, also be sure to grab mousetraps, a bible, and a long
wooden rod with a hook on the end. This sounds unusual, but it will make sense soon. The first

Toilet Flood Research Paper
On the off chance that you have ever had a toilet flood while you were attempting to unclog it you
recognize what a terrible circumstance that can be, not exclusively do you need to tidy up the chaos,
odds are the toilet will at present be stopped up.
On the off chance that you are a visitor over going by individuals you know or most exceedingly
awful yet individuals you just met and you have stopped up the toilet, having it flood would be a bad
dream no doubt.
Well, this is one of the most straightforward circumstances to maintain a strategic distance from, you
simply need to know a couple of things.
What you have to know when the toilet gets stopped up is:
1) Do Not Flush It Again Using the Handle!
2) You require a plunger obviously. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
To know whether the obstruct is unclogged you will either have enough water in the bowl. It will
leave quickly as if you simply flushed it or you have to fill the toilet with water while holding the
plunger over the gap, you at that point expel the plunger, and the water will quickly leave the bowl,
the key is to have the water sufficiently high to leave the bowl. If you pull the plunger far from the
gap and the water just stays there then set the plunger back in and cover the opening. This time top
the bowl off to the base of the edge and after that evacuate the plunger if the water quickly leaves
then you have unclogged the toilet if not it is as yet stopped up, and you have to continue diving
until the point when it does. All the time is keeping enough water in the bowl to compel it through
the obstruct.
Doing the unclogging the way it was recently clarified the toilet would never flood since you are
controlling the measurement of water entering the bowl, utilizing the handle you can't control the
water entering the bowl.
Endeavoring to flush and hold the flapper down is too unsafe as is stopping the water, you can cause
a hole by simply turning the water valve, you can break or curve the flush valve parts attempting to
hold the flapper close and causing to a higher degree an issue.
Following the above advances is the least demanding and the most secure approach to never flood a

When Was Toilet Paper Invented
Toilet paper; we use it every day. Most people don't think about who or how toilet paper was
invented. We get distracted by the soft feeling of the tissue wiping our waste. One of these people
who used the invention is possibly James Buchanan, the 15th president of the United States. But
thanks to the man who gave us a smile on our faces, Joseph Gayetty. Although he did not invent
toilet paper for wastes, he did have a role in making it into what it is today. Now, because of him and
companies like Charmin's, toilet papers has the best place to be rolled in, "the bathroom." Toilet

Also, there would be no satisfaction without it, which would make us miss out in all it had to offer.
To begin with my first reason, we can use these to prevent hemorrhoids. We use this invention to
absorb blood from our butts. This idea was made by the creator of toilet paper, Joseph Gayetty. We
always put a lot of pressure to get all the waste out; but when putting too much pressure can harm
your body and get blood stains on your pants. Absorbing the blood with toilet paper can prevent
blood stains on rears, but it's very painful and disgusting. Moving around can feel very
uncomfortable, but at least it's good that everyone's eyes will not be locked on your blood

Toilet Paper Core
Everything in the world is in constant change. And everything needs continual improvement if the
ever increasing demands of humankind are to be met. If I am a materials engineer, I will innovate
new material for toilet paper core. I think everyone has question why it must be toilet paper core,
and how important toilet paper core is. Toilet paper is the thing that most people use. Most toilet
paper has core. When we use whole toilet paper, it will remain the core. Because of this core can't

The goal of this negotiation for Sucarél is to establish a joint venture with five potential partners to

On the one hand, both five companies have some things in common. For example: they are from
USA, like us. So, we won't have cultural shocks and our negotiation style will be the same: fast,
hard and direct to the objective. Another point in common is that they have presence in Germany, so
they know the country and can help us to enter in it using their distribution channels. Another
common aspect is that all the companies sell their products in similar channels like us

We want to have an employee of Sucarél in the high directive of the joint venture, but we should be

To reach an agreement with the time of the joint venture, we can create the joint venture for five
years and analyze the success of the project to decide if we prologue it for 5 more years or not. So,
the company duration can be extended in periods of five years with periodic revisions. In

Mr. Gibson 's Speech
Mr. Gibson kept calling the front desk to complain about him not receiving breakfast. He had called
three times and still had not received food. Each of those times they assured him someone would be
bringing his food, but someone was not performing his or her duties, which is why Mr. Gibson still
did not receive his breakfast. This performance gap initially started off with dietary, who did not
give him his food. After Mr. Gibson had not received his food for some time, he called Ms. Spencer,
the clerk, to let her know about his situation. She called three times to dietary and it was still taking
an awfully long time for Mr. Gibson to receive his food. The burden would then fall on Ms. Spencer
because she was telling Mr. Gibson his food was coming. In this situation, Mr. Gibson's needs were
not met. This gap can ultimately be detrimental to a patient's health. If a diabetic had not received
his or her food like Mr. Gibson, it could have caused an adverse event which is why this is an
important gap to close. Gap 4: Communication Gap In healthcare, communication between patients,
providers and family members is vital. Clara Spencer, the clerk, had to settle a situation with a
patient's wife, which was a bit uneasy because of a lack of communication. Mrs. Woo was irritated
because the nurse said she can go back to see her husband in five minutes, but 20 minutes had

Roll Of Toilet Papers
A travesty, horrific, devastating, and downright wrong, are expressions that describe how people feel
when they find themselves trapped in the bathroom next to an empty roll of toilet paper. Leading
individuals to believe "everybody wants to change the world, but nobody wants to change the toilet
paper" (Quotes gram). Have you ever noticed yourself having to try and make your arms reach like
"Stretch Armstrong" to grab a new roll of toilet paper, or sitting on a hard–plastic toilet seat forced
to wiggle and jiggling while attempting to use your foot to try and toe yourself a new roll? Such a
situation can cause a person to pause and realize how little respect we give toilet paper. We need to
provide toilet paper the respect it deserves. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
We expect it to be on the dispenser in our bathrooms, and we hope that it is in the stalls of public
restrooms. When we run out of toilet paper we find ourselves in quite the predicament. Is this not
reason enough to appreciate and respect toilet paper? In the average home one roll of toilet paper is
suggested to last up to five days. The average consumers use eight to nine sheets per bathroom visit.
Each person in America uses an average of 57 sheets of toilet paper per day. Toilet paper comes in
four by five square sheets, and the average household will use one hundred rolls of toilet paper a
year. Toilet paper is such a valued commodity that over seven percent of Americans steal rolls from
hotels, motels, and public restrooms (toilet paper history).
The white, soft, plush, double quilted toilet paper we appreciate today is not what our ancestors used
years ago. History has indicated that Wealthy Romans utilized wool and rosewater, while the less
fortunate were forced to use hay balls, a scraper/Gompf stick (long curved handle with a sponge on
its end), corncobs, mussel shells, coconut shells, leaves, and any other miscellaneous items within

Charmin Marketing Strategies Essay
Reinventing Toilet Paper
Charmin's Marketing Strategies
Reinventing Toilet Paper Marketing media have changed dramatically in the last five years forcing
advertisers to look for alternatives to the more traditional forums of television, radio and print ads
(Ryasam, 2007). Charmin is working on several different marketing strategies in an attempt to find
that niche. "Procter and Gamble will spend an estimated $83 million in 2007 to drive awareness and
sales of their Charmin toilet paper, in what is being called the largest restaging of a product in the
company's 79 year history" (Facenda, 2007, p.1). Marketing strategies include redefining Charmin
toilet paper as a relevant product to their target demographic consumer group, ... Show more content

In 2006, Charmin made the decision to extend its hospitality campaign by using the 2000
experimental Potty Palooza on a much larger scale, but the purpose of the campaign remained the
same as it did in 2000. In addition to the traditional older customer, Charmin wants to create
strategies to involve young adults and teenagers with their toilet paper. With this in mind, P&G
combined the Potty Palooza marketing campaign with a developing project idea they refer to as a
"media–neutral idea" in which the same campaign can be used in several different venues and relate
to all age groups (Ryasam, 2007). With this media–neutral idea in mind, the animated and colorful
Charmin bears were born. Over the past eight years they have evolved into a family that is part of all
the Charmin advertising (Charmin FAQ, n.d.). Using these two marketing strategies together,
Charmin launched the first Time Square Potty Palooza campaign in 2006 in an effort to reinvent the
way consumers thought about toilet paper. This Time Square event was the main idea behind the
Potty Palooza from the start, but the company first needed to test the project before spending
millions of dollars on one advertising campaign (Janes, n.d.). The objective of this restaging idea
was not to build sales or promote a new product, but to take the commodity out of toilet paper and
bring the brand to life.

"Ring, Ring, Ring," The bell rings, and I'm barely late for my first class.
"What another glorious sunny day in LA." Moments later, the principal's voice came over the

I'm on my way to the principal's office, and I have no idea why they want me, which scares me out
of my mind.
I walk through the doors when Mrs.Melissa says, " Casey I'm sure you're wondering why you're

I reply, "Sure I'll show Madison around."
Mrs. Melissa says, "Thanks so much Casey!"
As we were walking down the hallway, I'm thinking, she seems really nice, maybe we'll become
friends.
Madison says, "Can we look for my locker first because some of my stuff is getting really heavy?"
I say, "Sure and I'll help carry some of your stuff."
Madison whispers, "Thank you so much, I owe you."
4 hours later, it was time for one of my favorite parts of the day. I see my friends, so I waved to them

Persuasive Essay On Technology
Technology over the years has developed into something amazing and bad. Every year a new type of
technology is developed and pushing the world as we know it now to be full of technology and
electronics. Before the 1900s technology was strange and was just starting to blossom into what it is
in the present day (2000s). One of the most amazing inventions would be indoor plumbing. Indoor
plumbing consists of sinks, showers, baths and toilets. Everybody has benefited somehow from
indoor plumbing. Indoor plumbing has advantages and disadvantages. It also has a short history,
although it took lots of work to get to function properly. What really makes indoor plumbing one of
the best inventions?
How did indoor plumbing come about? For many years' toilets were an outhouse in the woods.
Basically it is a huge hole in the ground. Many people would find either a river and wash off or fill a
bath tub for with water they boiled on the stove and poured into the tub. If they needed water, they
went the well and got fresh water. Many civilizations learned how to insert indoor plumbing in their
homes, many years before America did. Indoor plumbing first came about in 1775 by Thomas
Crapper. Thomas Crapper noticed how many diseases started to come about from the poor lack of
sanitation. The first time that indoor plumbing became a major thing was in 1829 by Isaiah Roger.
He decided to add indoor plumbing in Tremont Hotel in Boston. When Isaiah Roger finally got the
plumbing full functioning,

While reading Colin Beavan's No Impact Man, I had a bit of a sour taste in my mouth. One of my
underlying thoughts throughout the whole book was, "Well damn, I am so sure I would never, ever,
be able to do most of this in my life." In all honesty, it at first made me feel kind of bad about how I
lived; it made me feel as though I did not do enough for the environment and thought only of
myself. The first thing that came to mind when I learned what this book was even about was a short
online quiz of sorts. The purpose of the quiz was to determine how many planet Earth's we would
need if everyone on Earth lived how I did. My result was that over five planets would be needed.
This made me think about how while I was using over five ... Show more content on

My reaction to the title of this chapter was something along the lines of, "Well he is doing it
obviously because he is a guilty do good liberal". I thought it was a really interesting thing that
Beavan is a liberal. Liberals are generally open to newer behaviors and opinions and are much more
likely to do things untraditionally. On the surface, Beavan appears to fit the precise definition of
liberal; there are not many things that go against the norm of society more than what he did. Our
values right now are mostly geared towards industrialization and entertainment, meaning factories
and electricity and television and food. Beavan, being the liberal he is, decided he wanted to go
against what people everywhere have been doing, and attempt to live with no environmental impact.
But I do not necessarily think his "No Impact" project was a liberal thing to do. In fact, I think his
choice was possibly the most conservative of conservative things anyone has ever done in recent
history. Beavan attempted to live as environmentally friendly as possible for a year, even choosing
to go without electricity. I can only think of one group of people that live in modern times without
electricity, the Amish. The Amish people are just about the most conservative people, both
politically and religiously but also more importantly environmentally, I could possibly imagine. This
thought made me question his background of a liberal as he made a choice that has so much in
common of one

Persuasive Essay : The Toilet Paper
There's a saying, it's that the three necessities of life are food, shelter, and toilet paper. In 1890,
when toilet paper was first put on a roll, was when the world truly started. Toilet paper is the best
invention ever created because it gets us clean and fresh in seconds. Joseph Gayette was the man
behind it all. His invention has and will be used in the world for hundreds and hundreds of years. It's
almost as if you didn't even leave to do your business. Imagine a life without toilet paper, I just
couldn't do it. Toilet paper is so easy to get rid of, practically everywhere, and it's clean and
effective. Have you ever thought where it goes once you flush it? Once you flush, you never have to
see it again. That's unless you work at ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The concept of toilet paper is genius. The concept allows us to grab, and rip of a piece without
touching the next piece. No one wants to get gross bathroom germs. Common illnesses, like a
stomach bug, pass through bathrooms, and fungi like, athlete's foot, occur in the bathroom from
walking bare foot. Everyone gets the stomach bug at sometime, but most think of contracting the
disease from being near someone that has it. In fact you get from being in a germ–filled bathroom.
Imagine all of the times your mom told you to go wash your hands after you went to the bathroom,
it's because the bathroom can be a gross place. Things like toilet paper help us stay clean and reduce
the amount of germs spread in the bathroom. Also, down there, it does a great job. I can walk around
freely, after I do my business without worrying about stench, for I know toilet paper did a good job.
I personally use Scott's brand toilet paper, which I highly recommend. It's very soft, and also very
strong. Since, toilet paper is easy to dispose of, it's everywhere, it's one of the biggest marketed
items, and a huge money maker, because you can never have too much toilet paper. With a simple
flush, toilet paper is gone. The simple design, is so well thought out, that germs don't spread as
much, as if they were in a container, like a tissue box. Where, when you go to grab the next piece
you touch the box, and the next piece. You can't go anywhere in the world without

Informative Essay On Toilet Papers
Did you know that packaged toilet paper wasn't sold in the United States until 1857? And we didn't
get tissue rolls until the 1880s! Many people don't know this but Toilet Paper, a modern day
household staple, is a fairly new invention to the greater United States and prior to its invention our
kin had to make do with corncobs, leaves, hay and even snow or stones to clean up after the
bathroom act.
Today, most people take toilet paper completely for granted– until it runs out of course! In 1973
Tonight Show host Johnny Carson made a joke about toilet paper shortage that resulted in an actual
though temporary toilet paper shortage when several of his viewers, not seeing the joke in such a

A Day At Merritt Reservoir
Have you ever smelled 4–day–old moldy tube socks that have been soaked in lake water and left
under a bed? As a cabin keeper at Merritt Reservoir I had many bizarre encounters in a mere three–
month summer break. Imagine walking into the crammed bait shop on a crisp summer morning. You
clock in for the day and gather all the supplies needed to get the job done. These supplies may range
from the typical cleaning utensils such as rags and window cleaner, extra toilet paper and towels,
Febreeze, and rubber gloves for sticky situations. However, you also must be sure to grab
mousetraps, a bible, and a strange device that consists of a hook on a long wooden rod. You will
soon learn what these items are for, and how handy they can be throughout the day ahead. The
ongoing task of the day is to heave your massive cleaning cart up and down the slopping old
concrete walkways leading to each cabin. This monster is convenient since it carries all of your
items and you have them handy all at once, but can be a workout on a long day. When cleaning
cabins, you do not have a set amount of hours to look forward to finishing. Every day, you are given
a set amount of cabins, which can vary depending on how busy the lake is. You must complete that
set amount throughout the day, regardless of how fast or slow you work. The first cabin of the day
houses a family of 4 who must rarely "rough it" in the woods. They have requested every day this
week to be the first to get cleaned out in the

Toilet Auger Research Paper
Managing toilet obstructs effectively makes it to the base of the rundown of things a great many
people need to do as opposed to getting a charge out of an unwinding end of the week or night, yet it
happens to various mortgage holders. Considerably more at times, you may have an obstructing
toilet that influences you to figure your youngsters may have lost a toy or stuffed the neighbor's
feline in the porcelain position of royalty. However, you don't need to call a handyman. Property
holders might need to take a stab at utilizing a toilet auger to dispose of a headstrong obstructs.
What is a Toilet Auger?
A toilet auger, or handyman's snake, may not look like much, but instead, it can enable you to
dispense with willful toilet stops up. A toilet auger is usually a little more than 3 feet long and
includes an unbending metal tube with a handle that you wrench toward one side and an internal
center link made of metal on the other. The link is pressure wrapped and reaches out from the metal
tube like a long, adaptable bore that is ideal for clearing toilet stops up. Some toilet augers have a
plastic boot on the end that shields the porcelain from harm. ... Show more content on

the auger as it seizes the question. If you feel this protection, recover the question by rewinding the
link. On the off chance that the stop up is made of amassed objects, for example, bathroom tissue,

Free Tampons?
Let's begin with the obvious, all women have had their period. This process is as natural as eating,
peeing, drinking and sleeping. Now have any of you ever walked into a bathroom and had to pay for
the toilet paper? No, you haven't. I'm sure that it also never occurred to anyone to carry around toilet
paper in case they had to do their business away from home. For sanitary reasons we want people to
wipe their behinds. For sexist reasons, we don't offer the same concern for women who don't want to
bleed on furniture or their clothes. After years of women being shamed into not talking about
periods more and more are speaking up.
Periods have been linked to a part of the reason girls have missed school. Condoms are free so why
aren't tampons and pads? Most women in third world countries cannot afford the pricey cost of
tampons and pads. Even in first world countries women cannot afford to by the proper sanitary
products. Are they just a luxury for women? Women also do not sign up to have their periods we
can't control them. In public, we talk about periods as much as we do diarrhea. Never. We have to
shove tampons up our sleeves so no one knows that it is our time of the month. We stick wads of
toilet paper in our underwear when we are out of supplies. Has anyone ever seen the commercials
with the pads when they are pouring the light blue liquids out of cups onto pads; meanwhile

Sitting down on the toilet instead of squatting. This prevents fecal matter from being dropped and

Flushing the toilet paper that was used to clean yourself down the toilet. In some countries in Asia

Effects Of Pollution And Environmental Degradation
Pollution and Environmental Degradation are things that the large majority of humans contributes to
some small or large way on the daily. Whether it is our mode of transportation, throwing a piece of
trash on the ground, buying products made from trees, and to be perfectly honest the concentration
in which we live, by which I mean the proximity of the average residents in which we reside. These
all seem like regular everyday things that are just normal. But in the past things like these were so
beyond the norm that they would seem alien and impossible. The first matter that I pointed out, our
mode of transportation, differs from person to person. There are those that have decided to either not
use any fossil fuel burning vehicular modes of transportation, such as walking and riding bikes;
while others have decided to greatly decrease their ecological footprint by using various forms of
carpooling, whether it being literal carpooling with friends or coworkers, or taking modes of mass
transportation such as buses and "subways" or underground railways. According to a survey 91% of
people drive to work in their personal vehicles; and 204 million personal vehicles are regularly used.
And though not everyone throws their trash directly on to the ground, and most that do don't do it
completely intentionally. I do have to say that a large amount of Americans do not take the time to
make sure that their trash and garbage is disposed of properly. Some do not invest in having both

Int Task 3-Toilet Paper Experiment
INT Task 3: Toilet Paper Absorbency Project Design Plan Problem Statement: Absorbency of toilet
paper is found in many aspects when it comes to choosing the right toilet paper. When choosing
toilet paper people base their decisions on many factors. Those factors include price, name brand,
availability, quantity for the price, and even media deliverance (i.e. commercials) of toilet paper.
Although these factors are of key importance, what about the absorbency of toilet paper? This
experiment is conducted in the hopes of showing three different levels of absorbency. Testable

The controlled variable, which is the amount of time used during each test run, 15 seconds, will also
help to validate each test. By ensuring that the same time is used each time, the level of saturated
and unsaturated sheets can easily be measured by counting the sheets that were left saturated and
unsaturated after each 15 second interval. The relationship between the independent variable,
amount of water used, and the dependent variable, the reduction of toilet paper, gives this
experiment the ability to easily show the saturation of each brand of toilet paper and well as the
unsaturated aspect of each brand of toilet paper. Hypothesis: The absorbency of toilet paper must be
in direct relation to the quality of such said toilet paper. The absorbency of toilet paper does not have
any impact on price, name brand, availability or the amount of toilet paper used. This hypothesis
was derived due to the outside influence consumers' encounter from name brand, word of mouth or
media deliverance of toilet paper. It is predicted that Charmin would be the most absorbent in terms
of saturation due to its thickness. Process of Data Collection: When beginning the experiment a
large piece of saran wrap was taped on the counter and it was then sectioned of into three sections,
one for Charmin, and another for White Cloud and the remainder of the saran wrap for the local

Life Experience Essay
Life is full of exciting experiences for us to enjoy. However, these experiences are meant to teach
life lessons that should remain with us. In my 17 years of living, I have had many lessons to be
learned from events I have gone through. One of those lessons sticks out above the rest and it has a
humorous story to go along with it.
The story starts out with the group planning a get together while eating breakfast at Mcdonald's.
Ideas were flowing out of our heads like a river. We could not agree on a plan of action for the
longest time. Finally, it was decided that we should go to Kenzie's house after she said her dad
would cook for us. I was immediately down for that idea because I knew her dad makes the best
chicken wings ever. The rest of the day for me was spent thinking about what to wear that night.
Eventually, the time came for heading over to Kenzie's house. Bailey, another girl in the group,
asked me to give her a ride since she did not have her driver's license. Because of this, we were one
of the last ones to make it to Kenzie's. In the time that we missed the group decided that they wanted
to go and toilet paper some of our friend's houses that lived close to Kenzie. I had never done
something like this before. However, the excitement of doing this and avoid being caught appealed
to me. We all piled into the cars and headed to Wal–Mart to buy the toilet paper. We had an
interesting event that happened to us while we were in Wal–Mart. The event was when

wall–mounted console causes a wand to emerge from beneath the pre–heated seat, from which a
warm, pulsating spray gently and effectively cleans the designated area including a "front" function
to get the ladies so very, very clean. Next, the dryer function kicks in and the user will enjoy a rush
of air warmed to your choice of three temperature settings. They even built in a fail safe for those of
us accused of leaving the seat up, a tiny sensor embedded in the seat automatically raises the lid
whenever a human of either sex looms within range; then gracefully lowers it again. The future will
be great, it will be like the Silvester Stalone movie, Judge Dread, with the three sea shells. III.
CONCLUSION A. (review of main points): We have gone from stick, rock, stick with sponges... to
what we all use today, to someday possibly not even

Toilet Paper Assignment

  • 1. Toilet Paper Assignment For this assignment, I wrote the years and events as I unrolled the toilet paper. Eight out of the sixteen events were on the first twelve sheets. After marking down all the events and unrolling the whole roll of toilet paper I rolled it back up carefully. While counting the number of sheets of the roll was tedious, I found rolling it back up was the task that really wore out my patience. Rolling the toilet paper back up really put the passage of deep time between each of these events into perspective for me. What I would normally consider as ancient or of distant past, such as pyramids, suddenly become something that happened recently. The task of writing down the events on the correct sheets of the roll made me realize that there is so much ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 5. Septic Tank Friendly Toilet Paper 2 Household Items That Will Put Less Stress On A Septic Tank For homeowners that have a septic tank, it is important that you do not overburden the tank with things that should not go through your home's plumbing. You may not realize it, but it's even possible for certain dishwasher detergents to have a harmful effect if you are not carful. If you want your home's septic tank to last a long time, use these two products. Septic Tank Friendly Toilet Paper While you can be diligent about the amount of toilet paper that you use, you cannot monitor the toilet paper usage of others in your home. If you have people in your home that go a little overboard with their toilet paper usage, consider switching to a toilet paper that is designed specifically ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... You'll be paying a slight premium for the toilet paper, but it will be worth it in the end. You'll find yourself needing to pump your septic tank less, which could offset the cost of the septic tank friendly toilet paper. Just remember that switching toilet paper will not eliminate the need for septic tank pumping. It will need to be done eventually. Liquid Dishwashing Detergent Dishwashing detergent pods are becoming more popular with homeowners because of how easy they are to use. They have the exact amount of detergent measured for your dishes, and they don't make a mess when putting them in. Unfortunately, the plastic pods don't dissolve completely, and only turn into crumbs of plastic. A septic tank needs all the waste to be organic in order for it to break it all down. That's why you should avoid using the plastic pods, and stick to liquid dishwashing detergent that will go straight down the drain without any plastic left behind. Another way to assist your septic tank when using a dishwasher is to make sure that it is using very hot water. The detergent will break down chemically much easier when the water is as hot as it can be. Cold water will cause the detergent to turn into solid chunks that can get caught in the pipes going to your home's septic ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

It tells us, the parents that our little one is currently displaying signs of independence. Your little one may show interest in a basic potty, a potty that sings when you pretend to flush it or in using a standard toilet. Either way, this demonstrates to you that your baby is now on the right track in the beginning phase of toilet training. In addition to your eager little one, you will also require plenty of patience, a potty/toilet, pull ups or underwear and a mattress protector for the toilet training process. As a parent the key step in Toilet Training is taking your baby's lead. ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 13. Essay On The Murderers I was gathering a cluster of pearls on the beach when hazy mist cleared over the azure sea and a gargantuan silhouette emerged before my very eyes, a dragon! On this dragon were fierce–looking warriors with eyes of solid hatred. I went through what I had just seen for a brief moment and then charged into the monastery as if I'd been fired by a catapult, with a glance back to make sure I wasn't making it up. "DRAGON!" is what I repeatedly screamed, I think half of our little population lost any ability to hear in that moment. But it was true, no lie, we were under attack. Genuinely terrified for my life, I sprinted straight through into the dungeons. After passing many criminals (murderers, more murderers, even more murderers and a toilet ... Power seemed to radiate from his hammer as he swung it towards my head to crush it to breadcrumbs. And I was going to let it happen, until Sid shoved me out of the way and sense overtook fear as the leader of my confused brain, along with bravery and the will to fight. The hammer missed and demolished the wall behind my position as of two seconds ago. I backed into the wall, or what was left of it, and I took a stumble... I gracefully fell, screaming my head off, and I thought I was done for. However, unlike most people here, I can swim. In one movement, I tried to kick off my footwear only to find out that I was barefoot. I soared through the air as if an angel and beautifully landed the perfect (and also painful) belly flop. I saw on the horizon the dragon, so madness took over and I shot off at a wonderful one mph. As I got closer, I realised that Sid was right. This was no dragon, it was a huge viking longship! I clambered aboard and started to sail off, however, I thought that this was selfish and started to turn round to rescue my friends. But as I turned round I saw something that made me look away in disgust. A marauder threw his axe and it sailed ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 17. Stop Up Toilet Research Paper The primary thing ought to do when confronting a stopped up toilet is making inquiries. Do you have any young children? Would they be able to have tossed a little toy down the toilet? Is this a typical stop up? Has anybody dropped anything into the toilet and attempted to flush it down as opposed to hauling it out? It is best for you to answer me now, at that point for me to squander a large portion of a day and afterward discover what I ought to do. After all, reality saves them cash. Apparently, you are doing this without anyone's help, so you don't need to pose these inquiries, yet ask those in your family if require be. In the wake of finding the solutions, I will either utilize a plunger or a toilet auger, at times called a snake. Standard stop up I dive, everything else I wood screw. Unclogging To Unclog a Toilet I lean toward a chime formed or accordion style plunger. These will give you significantly more power. If there isn't much water in the toilet, then include a little by pushing down on the lever marginally. Watchful not to try too ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Haul out the auger's handle; this brings the snake part into the pole to have the capacity to manage the head into the toilet opening. Drive the leader of the snake to the extent you can, on the off chance that you don't go insufficiently far you will scratch your toilet bowl. Presently turn the handle clockwise and push down in the meantime. When hauling out the snake, I simply lift the handle part up to the extent that I can. On the off chance that the snake stall out you may need to give it a turn while hauling out. Regularly, however, it is best to attempt and haul the auger out without turning. In the present Japan is famous in this situation even the place around city of Japan that called Kyoto. Kyoto also has many good places for us to stay and if we compare the Kyoto with Bangkok we will know that, Kyoto is better choice for every person to live than Bangkok. About safety and security, there are some reasons that Kyoto has more safety and security than Bangkok. First, in Kyoto, the traffic light for walking across the crosswalk is like a rule for people to follow so the number of car accidents is less than Bangkok. • 29. The Ever Changing Definition Of Home The Ever Changing Definition of Home (change title) I guess one might call it naivete, but at first, I simply associated home with the single definition of where an individual lived or as something synonymous to an address. As I progressed into high school, and moved yet once again, I realized that was not the case. Now I believe home is an atmosphere created by the people that are surrounding me. I can be anywhere and feel at home as long as I'm with those people. My home is ever changing and developing as new people come in and out of my life. The unforgettable memories and feelings of comfort and love created by the people surrounding me are the cornerstone of my idea of home. My house was teepeed or toilet papered during my last week in California. My older sister and I both woke up disoriented, to our dog barking. We sleeply opened the front door assuming he had to pee, but when we stepped out of the house we saw white. There were countless rolls of toilet paper hanging from the countless number of trees. We stood there stunned. Already frazzled, I remembered how my mom had warned us that if we wanted to get our security deposit returned on our rented house, the house would have to be in tip–top condition for the inspection. Our house had never been t–ped before. Why did it have to be tped the day of the inspection? Our backyard was huge, so I marveled at the amount of time, effort, and toilet paper the pranksters had exhausted to cover the large ground stretching ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 33. Advantages And Disadvantages Of Flying Toilets PeePoo's creator is Anders Wilhelmson, a Swedish architect and professor. It is omni present in Kenya, Nigeria and Bangladesh as a sanitation business as a substitute for toilets. Peepoo recognises that merely building toilets is not enough and making people use the toilet is of critical importance. It is the behaviour intention that diffuses an innovative product. It must be applicable in slums where sanitation is absent. Without toilets, people resort to relieving themselves in plastic bags, which they throw as far away from their home as they can; a phenomenon known as flying toilets. In some areas, flying toilets have become a public health concern. Flying toilets are a common problem in urban areas like slums. To provide access to safe and acceptable toilet system in urban areas with a dense and generally poor population, one has to face the challenges of the lack of availability of space, willingness to pay and the absence of an institutional infrastructure. The Peepoo toilet could be an alternative solution. It is a personal, biodegradable toilet for single–use. It can be used either sitting or standing, where and whenever the user wants and it is easy to carry around. The PeePoo is a bag that contains five grams of urea, which breaks down waste into ammonia ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Within the bag there is a thin inner–gauze (26 x 24 cm), and a filling of urea . When the urea comes into contact with faeces or urine, a breakdown into ammonia and carbonate takes place, driven by enzymes, which are naturally occurring in faeces. As the urea is broken down, the pH value of the material increases and hygienisation begins. Organisms, which produce diseases (pathogens) and may be found in faeces (bacteria, viruses and parasites) are inactivated within 2 to 4 weeks depending on the surrounding temperature , In the end, when the Peepoo degrades in the soil, the ammonia acts as a harmless fertiliser taken up by ... Some of the pictures are very old. They are brown and white. Some of them feel like they are made of metal. These photos may be around the beginning of the 20th century. I have numerous photos of world war II vintage. I have several pictures of my dad with Japanese POW's on Okinawa near the end of the war. Some "recent" photos were taken in the post war era. The timeline runs from the late 40's right up to the digital age. I have many photos of people and I don't know who most of them are. I know that many of them would not be called handsome or pretty. Some of them are downright ugly. I hope they are not my relatives but they probably are. Sadly I have no relatives left that could identify these strange looking people. No one to say, " Oh, that is uncle Percy, the bootlegger. He got shot up and killed while crossing the border from Canada in 1931." They were balled up under one of the beds, and left to ferment in the muggy summer heat. As a cabin keeper at Merritt Reservoir, you will have many bizarre encounters in the short three–month summer break that you spend there. You need a variety of supplies to clean different types of cabins, and they can be classified as the busy work cabins, party cabins, mystery cabins, and the outhouses. The supplies range from typical cleaning utensils such as rags and window cleaner, extra toilet paper and towels, Febreze, and rubber gloves for sticky situations. However, also be sure to grab mousetraps, a bible, and a long wooden rod with a hook on the end. This sounds unusual, but it will make sense soon. The first cabin of the day houses a family of 4 who rarely "rough it" in the woods. I like to call this type of cabin "busy work," because there are no real messes, just light dusting here and there, and exchanging of old towels for fresh ones. They have requested every day this week to be the first to get cleaned out in the mornings; and even though it looks spic and span each time you visit, you still have to fulfill their wishes. A standard routine takes place: the beds are stripped and re–made with clean sheets, counters are washed with cleaner and a rag, the creaky wooden floors are swept, windows are polished crystal clear, ... Toilet Flood Research Paper On the off chance that you have ever had a toilet flood while you were attempting to unclog it you recognize what a terrible circumstance that can be, not exclusively do you need to tidy up the chaos, odds are the toilet will at present be stopped up. On the off chance that you are a visitor over going by individuals you know or most exceedingly awful yet individuals you just met and you have stopped up the toilet, having it flood would be a bad dream no doubt. Well, this is one of the most straightforward circumstances to maintain a strategic distance from, you simply need to know a couple of things. What you have to know when the toilet gets stopped up is: 1) Do Not Flush It Again Using the Handle! 2) You require a plunger obviously. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... To know whether the obstruct is unclogged you will either have enough water in the bowl. It will leave quickly as if you simply flushed it or you have to fill the toilet with water while holding the plunger over the gap, you at that point expel the plunger, and the water will quickly leave the bowl, the key is to have the water sufficiently high to leave the bowl. If you pull the plunger far from the gap and the water just stays there then set the plunger back in and cover the opening. This time top the bowl off to the base of the edge and after that evacuate the plunger if the water quickly leaves then you have unclogged the toilet if not it is as yet stopped up, and you have to continue diving until the point when it does. All the time is keeping enough water in the bowl to compel it through the obstruct. Doing the unclogging the way it was recently clarified the toilet would never flood since you are controlling the measurement of water entering the bowl, utilizing the handle you can't control the water entering the bowl. Endeavoring to flush and hold the flapper down is too unsafe as is stopping the water, you can cause a hole by simply turning the water valve, you can break or curve the flush valve parts attempting to hold the flapper close and causing to a higher degree an issue. We get distracted by the soft feeling of the tissue wiping our waste. One of these people who used the invention is possibly James Buchanan, the 15th president of the United States. But thanks to the man who gave us a smile on our faces, Joseph Gayetty. Although he did not invent toilet paper for wastes, he did have a role in making it into what it is today. Now, because of him and companies like Charmin's, toilet papers has the best place to be rolled in, "the bathroom." We always put a lot of pressure to get all the waste out; but when putting too much pressure can harm your body and get blood stains on your pants. Each of those times they assured him someone would be bringing his food, but someone was not performing his or her duties, which is why Mr. Gibson still did not receive his breakfast. This performance gap initially started off with dietary, who did not give him his food. After Mr. Gibson had not received his food for some time, he called Ms. Spencer, the clerk, to let her know about his situation. She called three times to dietary and it was still taking an awfully long time for Mr. Gibson to receive his food. The burden would then fall on Ms. Spencer because she was telling Mr. Gibson his food was coming. In this situation, Mr. Gibson's needs were not met. This gap can ultimately be detrimental to a patient's health. If a diabetic had not received his or her food like Mr. Gibson, it could have caused an adverse event which is why this is an important gap to close. Gap 4: Communication Gap In healthcare, communication between patients, providers and family members is vital. We expect it to be on the dispenser in our bathrooms, and we hope that it is in the stalls of public restrooms. When we run out of toilet paper we find ourselves in quite the predicament. Is this not reason enough to appreciate and respect toilet paper? In the average home one roll of toilet paper is suggested to last up to five days. The average consumers use eight to nine sheets per bathroom visit. Each person in America uses an average of 57 sheets of toilet paper per day. Toilet paper is such a valued commodity that over seven percent of Americans steal rolls from hotels, motels, and public restrooms (toilet paper history). The white, soft, plush, double quilted toilet paper we appreciate today is not what our ancestors used years ago. Charmin is working on several different marketing strategies in an attempt to find that niche. In 2006, Charmin made the decision to extend its hospitality campaign by using the 2000 experimental Potty Palooza on a much larger scale, but the purpose of the campaign remained the same as it did in 2000. In addition to the traditional older customer, Charmin wants to create strategies to involve young adults and teenagers with their toilet paper. With this in mind, P&G combined the Potty Palooza marketing campaign with a developing project idea they refer to as a "media–neutral idea" in which the same campaign can be used in several different venues and relate to all age groups (Ryasam, 2007). With this media–neutral idea in mind, the animated and colorful Charmin bears were born. Over the past eight years they have evolved into a family that is part of all the Charmin advertising (Charmin FAQ, n.d.). Using these two marketing strategies together, Charmin launched the first Time Square Potty Palooza campaign in 2006 in an effort to reinvent the way consumers thought about toilet paper. This Time Square event was the main idea behind the Potty Palooza from the start, but the company first needed to test the project before spending millions of dollars on one advertising campaign (Janes, n.d.). The objective of this restaging idea was not to build sales or promote a new product, but to take the commodity out of toilet paper and bring the brand to life. ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Every year a new type of technology is developed and pushing the world as we know it now to be full of technology and electronics. Before the 1900s technology was strange and was just starting to blossom into what it is in the present day (2000s). One of the most amazing inventions would be indoor plumbing. Indoor plumbing consists of sinks, showers, baths and toilets. Everybody has benefited somehow from indoor plumbing. Indoor plumbing has advantages and disadvantages. It also has a short history, although it took lots of work to get to function properly. What really makes indoor plumbing one of the best inventions? How did indoor plumbing come about? For many years' toilets were an outhouse in the woods. Basically it is a huge hole in the ground. Many people would find either a river and wash off or fill a bath tub for with water they boiled on the stove and poured into the tub. If they needed water, they went the well and got fresh water. Many civilizations learned how to insert indoor plumbing in their homes, many years before America did. Indoor plumbing first came about in 1775 by Thomas Crapper. Thomas Crapper noticed how many diseases started to come about from the poor lack of sanitation. The first time that indoor plumbing became a major thing was in 1829 by Isaiah Roger. He decided to add indoor plumbing in Tremont Hotel in Boston. When Isaiah Roger finally got the plumbing full functioning, ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

The first thing that came to mind when I learned what this book was even about was a short online quiz of sorts. On the surface, Beavan appears to fit the precise definition of liberal; there are not many things that go against the norm of society more than what he did. Our values right now are mostly geared towards industrialization and entertainment, meaning factories and electricity and television and food. Beavan, being the liberal he is, decided he wanted to go against what people everywhere have been doing, and attempt to live with no environmental impact. But I do not necessarily think his "No Impact" project was a liberal thing to do. In fact, I think his choice was possibly the most conservative of conservative things anyone has ever done in recent history. Beavan attempted to live as environmentally friendly as possible for a year, even choosing to go without electricity. I can only think of one group of people that live in modern times without electricity, the Amish. • 110. Informative Essay On Toilet Papers Did you know that packaged toilet paper wasn't sold in the United States until 1857? And we didn't get tissue rolls until the 1880s! Many people don't know this but Toilet Paper, a modern day household staple, is a fairly new invention to the greater United States and prior to its invention our kin had to make do with corncobs, leaves, hay and even snow or stones to clean up after the bathroom act. Today, most people take toilet paper completely for granted– until it runs out of course! In 1973 Tonight Show host Johnny Carson made a joke about toilet paper shortage that resulted in an actual though temporary toilet paper shortage when several of his viewers, not seeing the joke in such a scenario, went running out to buy up as much of it as ... • 114. A Day At Merritt Reservoir Have you ever smelled 4–day–old moldy tube socks that have been soaked in lake water and left under a bed? As a cabin keeper at Merritt Reservoir I had many bizarre encounters in a mere three– month summer break. Imagine walking into the crammed bait shop on a crisp summer morning. You clock in for the day and gather all the supplies needed to get the job done. These supplies may range from the typical cleaning utensils such as rags and window cleaner, extra toilet paper and towels, Febreeze, and rubber gloves for sticky situations. However, you also must be sure to grab mousetraps, a bible, and a strange device that consists of a hook on a long wooden rod. You will soon learn what these items are for, and how handy they can be throughout the day ahead. The ongoing task of the day is to heave your massive cleaning cart up and down the slopping old concrete walkways leading to each cabin. This monster is convenient since it carries all of your items and you have them handy all at once, but can be a workout on a long day. When cleaning cabins, you do not have a set amount of hours to look forward to finishing. Every day, you are given a set amount of cabins, which can vary depending on how busy the lake is. You must complete that set amount throughout the day, regardless of how fast or slow you work. The first cabin of the day houses a family of 4 who must rarely "rough it" in the woods. They have requested every day this week to be the first to get cleaned out in the ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Considerably more at times, you may have an obstructing toilet that influences you to figure your youngsters may have lost a toy or stuffed the neighbor's feline in the porcelain position of royalty. However, you don't need to call a handyman. Property holders might need to take a stab at utilizing a toilet auger to dispose of a headstrong obstructs. What is a Toilet Auger? A toilet auger, or handyman's snake, may not look like much, but instead, it can enable you to dispense with willful toilet stops up. A toilet auger is usually a little more than 3 feet long and includes an unbending metal tube with a handle that you wrench toward one side and an internal center link made of metal on the other. The link is pressure wrapped and reaches out from the metal tube like a long, adaptable bore that is ideal for clearing toilet stops up. Some toilet augers have a plastic boot on the end that shields the porcelain from harm. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Turn the wrench on the finish of the auger while holding the metal tubing in one hand to broaden the link into your toilet's pipe. Handing the wrench over the other way will withdraw the auger. Toilet stops up that are caused by semi–strong items, for example, hair or a toy causes protection in the auger as it seizes the question. If you feel this protection, recover the question by rewinding the link. • 122. Persuasive Speech : Free Tampons? Nevada Gardner Mrs. Remmers College English Persuasive Essay 11 November 2017 Free Tampons? Let's begin with the obvious, all women have had their period. This process is as natural as eating, peeing, drinking and sleeping. Now have any of you ever walked into a bathroom and had to pay for the toilet paper? No, you haven't. I'm sure that it also never occurred to anyone to carry around toilet paper in case they had to do their business away from home. For sanitary reasons we want people to wipe their behinds. For sexist reasons, we don't offer the same concern for women who don't want to bleed on furniture or their clothes. After years of women being shamed into not talking about periods more and more are speaking up. Periods have been linked to a part of the reason girls have missed school. Condoms are free so why aren't tampons and pads? Most women in third world countries cannot afford the pricey cost of tampons and pads. Even in first world countries women cannot afford to by the proper sanitary products. Are they just a luxury for women? Women also do not sign up to have their periods we can't control them. In public, we talk about periods as much as we do diarrhea. Never. We have to shove tampons up our sleeves so no one knows that it is our time of the month. We stick wads of toilet paper in our underwear when we are out of supplies. Has anyone ever seen the commercials with the pads when they are pouring the light blue liquids out of cups onto pads; meanwhile ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

I put these through quite a test, too! See the photos I attached below to follow along with my testing. Obviously, the majority of the time I will use these laundry bags for my most delicate and intimate washables, but I wanted to test how these bags from Inside Smarts really held up, so I filled them with kitchen dish towels. I decided to use dish towels in my testing because they are definitely heavier than most of the types of items I will wash in the bags, but just in case I ever wanted to wash a sweater I figured the dish towels would also give me somewhat of an idea of that experience, too. ... According to the directions, you are to tuck the zipper pull on the laundry bag inside the elastic "Smart–Guard" (see photo below). I did tuck in the zipper pull on the large bag, however, I purposely didn't do this on the medium bag. As you can see from my photos below, all of the dish towels fell out of the medium white bag, therefore, I highly recommend you don't forget to tuck in the zipper ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 134. Effects Of Pollution And Environmental Degradation Pollution and Environmental Degradation are things that the large majority of humans contributes to some small or large way on the daily. Whether it is our mode of transportation, throwing a piece of trash on the ground, buying products made from trees, and to be perfectly honest the concentration in which we live, by which I mean the proximity of the average residents in which we reside. These all seem like regular everyday things that are just normal. But in the past things like these were so beyond the norm that they would seem alien and impossible. The first matter that I pointed out, our mode of transportation, differs from person to person. There are those that have decided to either not use any fossil fuel burning vehicular modes of transportation, such as walking and riding bikes; while others have decided to greatly decrease their ecological footprint by using various forms of carpooling, whether it being literal carpooling with friends or coworkers, or taking modes of mass transportation such as buses and "subways" or underground railways. According to a survey 91% of people drive to work in their personal vehicles; and 204 million personal vehicles are regularly used. And though not everyone throws their trash directly on to the ground, and most that do don't do it completely intentionally. I do have to say that a large amount of Americans do not take the time to make sure that their trash and garbage is disposed of properly. Some do not invest in having both ... • 142. Int Task 3-Toilet Paper Experiment INT Task 3: Toilet Paper Absorbency Project Design Plan Problem Statement: Absorbency of toilet paper is found in many aspects when it comes to choosing the right toilet paper. When choosing toilet paper people base their decisions on many factors. Those factors include price, name brand, availability, quantity for the price, and even media deliverance (i.e. commercials) of toilet paper. Although these factors are of key importance, what about the absorbency of toilet paper? This experiment is conducted in the hopes of showing three different levels of absorbency. Testable Question: How does the saturation of three different brands of toilet paper compare? Literature Review: Based off two previous scientific experiments that were found, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The controlled variable, which is the amount of time used during each test run, 15 seconds, will also help to validate each test. By ensuring that the same time is used each time, the level of saturated and unsaturated sheets can easily be measured by counting the sheets that were left saturated and unsaturated after each 15 second interval. The relationship between the independent variable, amount of water used, and the dependent variable, the reduction of toilet paper, gives this experiment the ability to easily show the saturation of each brand of toilet paper and well as the unsaturated aspect of each brand of toilet paper. Hypothesis: The absorbency of toilet paper must be in direct relation to the quality of such said toilet paper. The absorbency of toilet paper does not have any impact on price, name brand, availability or the amount of toilet paper used. This hypothesis was derived due to the outside influence consumers' encounter from name brand, word of mouth or media deliverance of toilet paper. It is predicted that Charmin would be the most absorbent in terms of saturation due to its thickness. Process of Data Collection: When beginning the experiment a large piece of saran wrap was taped on the counter and it was then sectioned of into three sections, one for Charmin, and another for White Cloud and the remainder of the saran wrap for the local store's name brand, then folded stacks of each brand in increments of fifteen sheets and placed them in ... In my 17 years of living, I have had many lessons to be learned from events I have gone through. One of those lessons sticks out above the rest and it has a humorous story to go along with it. The story starts out with the group planning a get together while eating breakfast at Mcdonald's. Ideas were flowing out of our heads like a river. We could not agree on a plan of action for the longest time. Finally, it was decided that we should go to Kenzie's house after she said her dad would cook for us. I was immediately down for that idea because I knew her dad makes the best chicken wings ever. The rest of the day for me was spent thinking about what to wear that night. Eventually, the time came for heading over to Kenzie's house. Bailey, another girl in the group, asked me to give her a ride since she did not have her driver's license. Because of this, we were one of the last ones to make it to Kenzie's. In the time that we missed the group decided that they wanted to go and toilet paper some of our friend's houses that lived close to Kenzie. I had never done something like this before. However, the excitement of doing this and avoid being caught appealed to me. We all piled into the cars and headed to Wal–Mart to buy the toilet paper. We had an interesting event that happened to us while we were in Wal–Mart. The event was when ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
