The two services that the Department provides for achievement of this goal to make Harare a better and safer place for people to live in are Fire Brigade and Ambulance Services. The Fire Brigade provides assistance in advent of fire in form of fire fighting, fire extinguishing, Fire rescue and enforcement of Harare City's Fire Bylaws. The Ambulance Services on the other hand are emergency services that are required in every pace for conveyance of patients from their homes to the medical centers. Ambulance Services are a staple to any civilized and developed city, without these services, the people are unable to receive any proper medical care and are denied their rights to medicine.
