Freiburg (Germany) has gradually transformed its centre in a pedestrian
area: here despite the initial opposition expressed by retailers, since the
opening of the first pedestrian streets there has been a reversal in the
trend and finally the traders themselves have asked for a more rapid
transformation of the city centre in a pedestrian area .
