2. Present Simple
We use the present simple to express usual actions or things
that happen in the present.
The structure is:
Subject + Infinitive verb (affirmative)
Subject + Do/Does not + verb (negative)
Do/Does + subject + verb (question)
Bear in mind that, in the third person singular, we need to add
“-s” at the end of the verb.

4. Past Simple
We use the past simple when we are talking about an action that
happened in the past.
The structure is:
Subject + past verb (affirmative)
Subject + did not + infinitive verb (negative)
Did + subject + infinitive verb (question)
Remember that we have regular and irregular verbs. To form the
verb:
Regular: Add –ed at the end of the word.
Irregular:The second column of the verbs.

7. Present continuous
We use the present continuous with normal verbs to
express the idea that something is happening now, at this
very moment.
The structure is:
Subject + is/are + verb-ing (affirmative)
Subject + is/are not + verb-ing (negative)
Is/are + subject + verb-ing (question)

9. Past Continuous
We use the Past Continuous to indicate that a longer
action in the past was interrupted. The interruption is
usually a shorter action in the Simple Past.
The structure is:
Subject + was/were + verb-ing (affirmative)
Subject + was/were not + verb-ing (negative)
Was/were + subject + verb-ing (question)
