1. My Schedule During The Week Essay
Well, my schedule during the week is usually focused at school or at home. My weeks are never
smooth and I usually have a lot of homework because I am taking 18 units. I specifically handle all
my day to day things by the first study and do my homework before I go play a video game, sleep,
or eat. My days feel very structured and I usually tried to prepare and do all my homework at least 1
week ahead. That way I have a bit more time to study for a test. Most of the time, I get a homework
assignment out of nowhere, which always forces me to go with the flow. I organize my day to day
by a to do list, a pile, and by section. I always eat breakfast during 8:00 A.M. to 9 A.M., I eat lunch
at 1 P.M. to 2 P.M. and I would eat my dinner usually at

Those classes are usually the longest time–consuming in my week because they are about 3 hours
long. On the Saturday and Sunday, most of my time is to study for the exam or do homework
because my class gives me a huge amount of homework. I usually play games for about 30 mins
on randomly on my schedule or when I have a random free time. I sleep about 4 to 5 hours a day
in the week, but on the weekend, I sleep about 7 to 9 hours.
There are three examples from the text that I plan to use in my future or now to help me combat
my time management in the day to day task. First is to know how much time I am using for
studying and increasing that time if needed. Second is to use a system to plan and set priorities.
Lastly, it for me to stay motivated to follow my plan and avoid procrastination. The three strategies I
would use in the textbook would do the most important study first, use a calendar planner and daily
to–do list, and do the easier task first. I choose those three strategies for my time management
because time is the key to be successful. The most important to study first would help me seek a
question that I might not know; therefore, I could ask for assistance if I get stuck in my study. For
me to use a calendar planner would help me schedule my time more efficiently. For me to use a
daily to–do list will help me knock off what I need to accomplish by the end of my day. Doing the
easier task first is important because it

2. I have learned many things throughout the course of the term, including such things as: how to write
an essay and how to improve on essays that I have already written, how to locate and composite
better research through the use of numerous resources found at the campus library, the internet, and
the "Common Sense" textbook, how to cite research, examples, and quotations properly within the
contents of my research paper as well as document it accurately according to MLA standards.
Through the exploration of the "Subjects and Strategies" textbook, I have learned nine different
methods used when writing an effective essay and how the different writing styles affect the overall

This allowed me to write more extensively on the topic I had chosen which in turn helped expand
the size of my research paper. I received a B on my final draft; the first passing grade I have ever
received on a research paper. I am very satisfied with my grade. When it came to the essays
writing became a little trickier because I had to understand what it was I needed to write about
and the style in which I need to write it in. There are nine essay writing methods which I learned
while attending this course: exemplification, compare/contrast, cause and effect, proposal,
narration, process, division/classification, definition, and argument. The only problems I
encountered when trying to write the essays that were assigned to me by the instructor was
finding suitable subject matter to write about. Once I found my topics for my essay, everything
else became easier. I would first produce a rough draft and then the students, the instructor, and
myself would go over them in class and decided if what I was writing was in its best form. Most
of my rough drafts needed improvement, but if it didn't it wouldn't be a rough draft, so it was
understood. My final drafts were very satisfying for me as well as the grades I received on them.
For my exemplification essay I chose to write about the reasons why condoms

3. Essay about Higher Education
Higher education is optional, but to enter a respectable career, one must continue their education in
order to achieve his financial and/or personal goals. Teenagers who attend college use their extended
schooling to further obtain knowledge. The primary objective of higher education is to enhance
one's abilities for his future. A student can learn from school in numerous ways, but liberal education
is not a way to attract students into further and higher education. However, students can learn a lot
more through experiences that have affected their personal lives. I agree with author Mike Rose's
theory that education needs are reached to obtain a higher academic level by teaching students
information that can be related to their personal...show more content...
However, he has not thought about the students who want to attend college and quickly earn their
degree so they can start their careers.
I disagree with Bloom because he encourages the idea of taking extra irrelevant classes to achieve
the experience of education. It usually takes about four years to earn a bachelors degree. There are
many courses such as English, math, history, art, etc. that a student must go through before they get
to start on the classes that concentrate on their intended major. These basic courses are part of a
program called general education. After completing general education (which usually takes about
two years), the students can then begin to study for their degree. Colleges should abandon the law
of students having to take general education courses because the courses are irrelevant to their field
of study, unnecessary and a waste of time. Instead of taking the extra courses, students can simply
meet their needs of a degree in a shorter period of time. Also, Bloom not only that wants students to
take general education courses, he wants them to further their education by taking advanced
irrelevant courses. Therefore, in their future, they would have numerous opportunities for a better
career. Because if a job is not right for the student, he would have other choices to obtain a new job.
Rose feels students should not learn from the canon books style. Students have an easier time
learning when they relate to the

4. Descriptive Essay On A Walk In The Park
A Walk in the Park A ways away from a town that I call home, I found a happy place. I often find
myself walking through the park by myself. The beautiful trees, the way the yellow and red
leaves crumple under my feet every step I take. When the flowers bloom and how it's the most
spectacular sight you could ever imagine seeing, all the different colors that appear. When you
breathe in and you get this smell of purity, you feel free and alive. Sometimes I like to sit on the
old wooden bench where the bench frame is a little rusted, and I get rid of my thoughts and my eyes
search the sky. In the winter the icy breeze makes me shiver, and the cold air I take in, is like
sitting in front of an air conditioner and breathing in. Some mornings the sun beams across the sky,
which is not quite blue yet, but the sun has almost fully risen. When the wind blows, it grazes
over the blades of grass. Some days I just stand and take a deep breath in and I can taste the
spring. When summer comes around, and the bees are buzzing, and the hot sun beats on the back
of my neck, I lay on the soft grass and listen, to the birds chirping a beautiful song, and the kids
playing in the park. The sky is the bluest view in sight. Walking through the trail full of mud and
leaves always made me think about my life. It was always there when I needed to walk and get
things off my mind. Looking around watching the leaves fall off tree after tree flying like
butterflies, all different colors. When they stopped, they immediately died and they were not
coming back alive again. Piled leaves filled up under trees and children ran and jumped on them
like they were pillows. These trees tripled the height of humans with numerous branches holding
hundreds of leaves. While walking the river flows and it is such a beautiful view with the sun
shining right off of it. The ducks and little birds chirping and floating through the smooth water
puts a joy to my face. I found a rest area with a bench and by it was a fountain. The ripple of water
and the singing that the birds formed made it peaceful to sit there and study the fountain. Just
appreciating the little things in life and realizing what all I have and have overcome is what the
park helps me

Italy, is a boot shaped country in south–south eastern Europe. Italy, also known as the Italian

States, Russia, Germany, England, Japan, China and Italy. Italy is about the size of North Carolina

6. Reflective Essay: Lessons Learned
This is assignment was one of the first writing assignments I have written since graduating high
school in 2005. While writing this essay I learned several things about myself and become
extremely excited when I learned I had earned 8 out of 10 points after submitting this assignment.
This first part of writing this essay was to pick a topic to write about. I decided to choose acne for
the simple reason when I was growing up I had acne but finally grew out of it. After I decide on
the topic I had to gather the information for the essay itself which was not that easy. I had to gather
the information from different websites and was also able to find celebrates that revealed their
stories on the Proactiv website. Once I gathered the information required for the assignment I
began writing which was difficult at first but once I was able to get started it seemed to become
easier. The only thing I would change about my paper if given the chance would be to organize
the paper a little bit better. I would also try to apply different words that are not used in everyday
writing, this might have helped me with my grade however using larger words could also hurt my
paper if I did not use them correctly....show more content...
I noticed my work cited page was not on its own page after I had already submitted the
assignment. I also had several different mistakes that I did not noticed after submitting the paper
but once I was given guidance by my Instructor I believe I was able to correct the work cited page
correctly to meet MLA standards. I know that with the information and guidance I have learned
during this assignment I feel that I will be able to correctly write a successful essay assignment
during my college career along with my career as a Law Enforcement

7. Reflective Essay On English 101
Proficient writing is an essential skill in all aspects of academic and professional achievement.
English 101, Introduction to Composition and Rhetoric, provided the framework to good writing,
teaching me composition and rhetoric fundamentals, polishing up my grammar and style, and
expressing a clear message. English 102, Composition, Rhetoric, and Research, continued to build
on the skills I learned in English 101, focusing on the subject matter research process and
employing various rhetorical and literary devices to better express a clear message to the reader.
The course also improved my critical thinking capacity, allowing me to culturally evaluate my
target audience, present logically flowing arguments using appropriate language and structure, and
critically reviewing my writing projects for content and expression. Every writer inherently knows
there's always room to improve and I hold fast to this mindset in all academic, professional, and
personal writing projects. English 102 has both challenged and inspired me to grow into a much
better writer than before I began the class, providing the necessary skills to be not just a good
writer, but a great writer.
Most of my English 102 writing projects are rhetorical arguments, intended to persuade the reader in
one direction or another. Reflecting on the many skills I honed in English 102, my predetermined
use of rhetorical strategies (ethos, logos, pathos), developing a concise thesis statement, and clearly

8. Loneliness Essay
To be lonely is an easy thing, being alone is another matter entirely. To understand this, first one
must understand the difference between loneliness and being alone. To be alone means that your
are not in the company of anyone else. You are one. But loneliness can happen anytime, anywhere.
You can be lonely in a crowd, lonely with friends, lonely with family. You can even be lonely
while with loved ones. For feeling lonely, is in essence a feeling of being alone. As thought you
were one and you feel as though you will always be that way. Loneliness can be one of the most
destructive feelings humans are capable of feeling. For loneliness can lead to depression, suicide,
and even to raging out and hurting friends and/or...show more content...
Generally almost all loneliness can be traced back to low or below "average" self–esteem.
Chronically lonely people will usually have low opinions of themselves. They may think of
themselves as unintelligent, unattractive, broken, unwanted, not worthy of good things, no good,
unable to do anything right, and/or socially isolated. Unlike many other emotionally hurting people,
the chronically lonely usually know what is wrong, but like many others they don't believe they can
do anything to fix it, or, circling back to the low self–esteem, they may also believe they are not
worth of happiness.
It takes the strong support of a good friend(s) or other loved one(s) to help the lonely conquer their
feelings. Simply trying to counteract the low self–esteem verbally will not do it, though, for in their
down state, they will see the person as just trying to be nice or spare their feelings. The lonely
must be shown in more subtle, yet clear ways that they are not the useless person they perceive
themselves to be. For example, with a person who feels particularly unloved and unwanted,
someone close to them should try to take a little extra time to spend with that person and try to set
aside a little extra time to talk to the person.
Nothing special needs to be said or done, simply spending time, willing and without having been
asked, allows the lonely one to see that they are loved. That they are worthy of being associated with
and that there are

9. Grit Essay Examples
Grit is a predictor of academic, professional, and personal success. Grit can be defined as strength
of character or the ability to overcome failure and continue to work toward success. People with
grit are not always the people with the most natural ability, but their work ethic and ability to
overcome obstacles allows them to achieve success. Grit is a very valuable characteristic in almost
any venture, as it gives someone an advantage in overcoming the inevitable obstacles they will face.
However, grit is much easier adopted when an individual has a growth mindset. The first step to
obtaining grit is to correlate both self–control and self–confidence when trying to reach an objective.
By doing this, one can focus on the task at hand...show more content...
I had no experience as a runner nor did I have the form. This did not phase me however. That year
I promised myself to push through all the six mile runs, sore legs, gnarly blisters, and at times,
lack of oxygen. At every meet and speed workout practice I pushed myself further and further. I
set a goal every time I kicked off from the starting line and never let myself get discouraged when
I failed. By my senior year, I was the fourth fastest runner on varsity. That year our varsity team
won the district meet, which qualified us to run in the 2016 state meet in Oregon. The
transformation over the years were evident. My determination to accomplish my goal of
becoming a faster runner was complete. If I had simply just given up that first day of practice, I
wouldn't have ran along side of the fastest runners in Oregon or have met the multitude of people
that are now my closest friends. Having a goal sets one up for a challenge, whether it being
physically or mentally, goals keep us active and thinking in more ways than one. Still, if someone
has self–control, confidence, and a goal, they are still not complete. Growth mindset is the cone to
an ice cream. It is the foundation of what I think a successful person is. Without it one couldn't use
the characteristics mentioned above in more ways than one. Someone with a growth mindset believe
that their most basic abilities can be developed through dedication and hard work, brains and talent
are just the starting point.

10. My Future Plans For The Future
Imagine the perfect life, the perfect family, dream house, dream car, and the perfect career. That's
what I hope someday my life will be like. Everyone has a future plan, to make the best out of our
life, what is your plan? My future plan is to be a pediatrician. I would like to help the children of
the future. They are the next generation and I would like to leave a legacy for them to follow. I
want to help save and make a child happy someday. The thought of making a difference in
someone's life is the reason I can go to sleep peacefully. We all have a purpose for being here and I
my purpose is to save one of us, my purpose is to help the ones in need, the ones in the street
begging for somewhere to live, the ones dying of poverty. However, right now in the 21st century
technology has taken over the world, not figuratively but literally. It made the world, both a bad
and good place. People are going to run out of jobs and tech will run the world. Technology will
be the greatest invention of human kind but how will it affect some of us? First to begin with,
Technology is part of our everyday lives. Every nook, every corner we turn there is someone with
technology. In doing research it says technology is advancing so fast that it will be a thousand times
more advanced in the next 10 years. From having no technology in the 1900s we are currently
flourishing with technology every day, in our house there is at least 10 different items that are

11. Reflection On My English 101 Experience
Reflecting on My English 101 Experience I used to consider writing as tumble words from your
mind, write, read it through, fix minor mistakes, and done. However, you rarely get successful. The
truth is many students, including myself, struggle with starting to write a word, or getting stuck in
the middle without knowing the main point of the writing. After completing English 101, I can
explain the writing process, evaluate the strengths of my essay, and identify my weaknesses.
Throughout English 101, I learned that the following the writing process was imperative. Before
taking this class, I use to always skip the pre–writing step considering that it is just an easy and
unnecessary step. Consequently, I struggled to figure how to start writing, and most importantly I
struggled to figure out the main point while writing the draft. And then I finish the first draft close to
the deadline that I do not have time to read it not to mention revising. It was after I started this class
that learned that pre–writing is vital, and requires time and attention as it holds the base of the
whole writing. My professor used different analogies such as blueprint for building and map for
navigation to explain the importance. It really speeded up my writing after I started to utilize it. I
have learned outlining before, but part of the pre–writing that I was fortunate enough to learning in
English 101 is the writing triangle. Even before outlining, the topic, purpose, and audience of the

Comfort zone is a situation where one feels safe and at ease. It is a type of behaviour that keeps
us at a steadily Low anxiety level. Something that we do all the time, like taking the bus to school,
watching television programmes and checking out social media platforms are part of our comfort
zones. These everyday activities that we are used to will not make us feel anxious and uneasy. We
like to stay in our comfort zone even though we are bored of being in the comfort zone. When we
see the struggle that others go through to achieve something in life , we will be scared of the
numerous challenges that we may face. However, it is important that we leave our comfort zone for
self improvement so as to achieve success.
Getting out of our comfort zone is crucial and it will benefit us. One of the benefits is that we will
find it easier to push our boundaries in the future. Once we start stepping out of our comfort zone, it
gets easier to learn new skills and gain new knowledge over time. To illustrate my point, in order to

youths, between 12–18, have either thought about or attempted suicide in the past year. More than 1

Only in the past two decades, have depression and suicide been taken seriously. Depression is an
illness that involves the body, mood and thoughts. Depression affects the way a person eats and

Adolescence is a stressful experience for all teens. It is a time of physical and social changes
producing rapid mood swings from sadness to elation. Even an emotionally healthy teenager may
have the constant fear of not being good enough, not making the varsity team, or getting good
grades. Special situations such as a parents divorce can trigger intense sadness and feelings of
wanting to die.
People who usually experience depression, can seem fine. But there are many key signs to show that
they are depressed. Such as, change in school performance, eating habits change, constant
unhappiness, low self esteem, guilt, social isolation, inability to concentrate, irritable or angered

For a teen suffering from severe depression, has feelings of worthlessness that dominates their day.
Despair is ever present and emotional pain feels like it will never end. Any situation of anger or

the largest organ of the human body it is the most complex and controlling organ. It is amazing how
complicated the brain is. The brain controls every action within and out of your body. The brain has
main areas that contain different areas that have specific functions. For instance the basal ganglia

The brain isn't just "THE BRAIN" it is actually a group of many parts. They help to inform the brain

as fear, rage, pleasure, and sorrow. In the prefrontal area of the frontal lobe emotional traits are
controlled. In the temporal lobe expressed behavior is controlled. The parietal lobe discriminates

15. The Most Memorable Writing Experience
Most Memorable Writing Experience: My Reflection on Writing I have been writing since I have
been in Middle School. I have realized that by college it was easier for me to write down my
thoughts in order for me to remember what I have said or done. Writing out my thoughts gives
me a sense of recollection, knowledge, and pacification that gets me through my day. I pictured
writing to be as simple as jotting down a few sentences, but as I got farther in school I realized
that there is more to it than just writing sentences. English has been my most difficult subject I
have ever endured, but I have somehow been managing to make excellent grades and achieving
all requirements. First in the essay, I will discuss my experiences in the English life that I've
taken so far up until college. The second part will list my struggles in creating a thesis, a work

changed drastically from middle school to college. Being in middle school I have really had to
do much of a big paper, but as I progressed through college I've realized there much more that has
to be added. I had always wondered why middle school was so easy but as years went on, I
realized that advancing to college there's a lot more requirements and importance to writing. In

You can feed the mind as much as you want and it will never get full of reading. Sadly, I'm not the
same person that I was. I guess you could say it's part of growing up. It never really was
intentional but it's just the way how it ended up. On the other hand my attitudes toward writing
are very different. First let me say that deep down I truly do not like to write. I myself don't
personally like to write for leisure or pleasure but rather I write because I believe it is one of the
most important aspects of being able to communicate with those around you, both personally and
professionally. To put differently, my attitude towards writing is that I write because I need to
write and survive in the world around me. I write because I have to, not because I want to.
Hopefully this somewhat makes sense. To better explain let me make a comparison. When I am
assigned a writing assignment or I am writing because the action is being forced upon me I find
myself not enjoying the process and overall the end result is subpar. The perfect example of this
would be my junior year in high school when I was enrolled in AP english literature. I dreaded the
majority of the class simply because there was so much writing involved in the entire course and
therefore I was constantly writing just to get a grade. Being forced to write in such high volume
every week for an entire school year was not enjoyable for myself and as a result the

19. Essay about Germany
Germany is the fourth largest country in area in
Europe, with a total area of 356,970 square
kilometers (137,827 square miles). The country has
a varied terrain that ranges from low–lying coastal
flats along the North and Baltic seas, to a central
area of rolling hills and river valleys, to heavily
forested mountains and snow–covered Alps in the
south. Germany has a long, complex history and rich
culture, but it did not become a unified nation until
1871. Before that time, Germany had been a
confederacy (1815–1867).
The country has a total of 82,071,765 people (1997
estimate). Germany is overwhelmingly urban, and
most people lead a prosperous, comfortable lifestyle,
with adequate leisure time and comprehensive

Stretching from the Baltic and North seas to the Alps,
Germany measures about 800 kilometers (about 500
miles) from north to south; the country extends about
600 km (about 400 miles) from west to east. In
addition to coastline and mountains, the varied

Several navigable rivers traverse the uplands, and
canals connect the river systems of the Elbe, Rhine,
and Danube rivers and link the North Sea with the
Baltic.
Germany has a mostly moderate climate,
characterized by cool winters and warm summers.
River valleys, such the Rhine, tend to be humid and
somewhat warmer in both winter and summer,
whereas mountain areas can be much colder.
Precipitation on the average is much heavier in the
south, especially along the Alpine slopes, which force
incoming weather fronts to rise and let off moisture in
the form of rain and snow.
Germany does not have large pockets of poverty or
great economic disparity. Crime levels are
substantially lower than those in the United States,
and the possession of guns is controlled. However,
there are substantial numbers of homeless people
and problems of violence, alcoholism, and drug
abuse. Nonviolent crimes, such as theft and burglary
in urban areas, have increased since the 1970s.
They occur often enough to make law and order a
