INFLUENTIAL LEADERSHIP OUTLINE
A. Introduction
In this part of the study, we try to discuss influential leadership
in the current leadership generation. The intention of this part is
to make sure that the readers are aware of what the discussion is
all about (Postero, 2016). Further, we try to disseminate the
different kinds of leadership which are used by the influential
leaders and also the impact they have on different company
success. It covers some surveys which have been done on the
different roles leaders have when it comes to influence. It also
focuses on the impact of changes in management paradigms and
how that has some impact on leadership (Bae et al., 2013).
B. Meaning of terms
i. Leadership
Covers the meaning of leadership in details. In this part, we
discover there is a difference to lead and to manage (Makala &
David, 2010)
ii. Influence
Identifies the meaning of influence and how one can be
influential (Hilley, 2012).The paper will study an extensive
study of how leaders can use their leadership styles to influence
performance in organizations (Murray et al., 2011).
C. Theory
This is a study of the relationship that the leaders and the
followers. The intention of this part is to give a detailed study
of the relationship between the followers and how to create a
shared purpose among the two (Crozier & Priestley, 2011)
. The theory meant to show how the leaders can use their
abilities to create followers in the different field they are acting
on (Malek et al., 2015).
D. Factors that determine influential leadership
i. Organizational factors
These are factors which are within the organization which are
very pertinent and makes a leader influential (You, 2014). This
part of the leadership influence is abused in the fact that a
problem will come up, and the leader will find a way through
which they can manage to influence he workers capitalizing on
the solution to the problems (Cote et al., 2015).
ii. Group factors
These are the factors that group members of an organization do
to see that the workers have a following for a leader. This factor
makes a leader one who focusses on the personal traits of every
member of an organization (Zhang & Chua, 2011).
iii. Individual factors
This is a study of how a leader behaves and how that influences
results and how one acts about that. A leader can have a
following when he or she can use the personal traits that will
have the rest of members of the organization following
(Eichmann, 2001).
iv. Relations with coworkers
This studies how a leader can use the influence he or she has to
make sure that they command a following out of this. Any
leader who does not have a good rapport with the rest of the
members can never command a following in the organization
(Eichmann, 2001).
E. Methodology
This is a study of the mythology which is being used to identify
some of the traits that are needed to see to that a leader is
influential (Chin & Roger, 2015).This entails different research
studies done to speculate what leaders can do to make sure that
they remain influential in their areas of expertise ( Song &
Seamon,2014). How can leaders use their pragmatic abilities to
take charge of the activities which are being done by people?
F. Examples of profession with influential leadership
This studies the examples of the different professions which
have very influential leaders (Van, Hogan & Kaiser, 2012).The
major part of this studies covers the area of nursing which has
had a lot of research was done on it. It also covers the areas of
politics where most of the leaders must command a following
for them to have a say in the current state of affairs of the
nations. The other field which requires a following is the field
of business where leaders have to be able to be very influential
so that they can be able to get a command in their following
(Price, 2013).
G. Leadership styles used
i. Laissez-faire
This is a type of leadership that receives a negative following.
In this kind of leadership, it is a type of leadership where a
leader avoids responsibility and ignorant. This leader influences
the lazy type of workers in the organization (Itzhaky & York,
2013)
ii. Pragmatic leadership
Studies a leadership style which a leader and the follower will
always command a transactional process that exists between a
leader and the follower. There is a complete exchange in the
process which ensures that there is understanding (Hakala &
David, 2010).
iii. Transformation change
This is a type of leadership where a leader can generate change
among the subordinate. This is a type of a leader who change
the vision, strategy, organization culture and also goods and
technology.
H. Importance of influential leadership
This studies the impact and relevance of having influential
leaders in an organization. Examples of how the leadership has
been able to influence the leadership style in the organization.
Studies the different aspects of the influential leadership and
how it has been able to bring change in most of the
organizations. In this part too, there will be examples of this
(Adams, 2012).
I. Conclusion
Gives a recap of the whole paper on influential leadership.

2. Chin, Roger (2015). "Examining teamwork and leadership in
the fields of public administration, leadership, and
management". Team Performance Management.

public administration, leadership, and management. To make
sure that the role of leaders in influencing results is felt, it is

Zealand's most influential geomorphologist. New Zealand
Geographer, 67(2), 79-89. http://dx.doi.org/10.1111/j.1745-

work.IN this case, the leadership of Charles Cotton was very
instrumental in the leaders achieving some of their targets.
4. Eichmann, J. (2011). Prominent Nuns: Influential Taiwanese
Voices. Crosscurrents, 61(3), 345-373.
http://dx.doi.org/10.1111/j.1939-3881.2011.00187.x
Eichmann has a lot of interests in the leadership of the Christian
world. In the article written in 2011 and published in 2012,
Eichman has used the example of Taiwanese voices and the role
the nuns had in making sure some of the cries of these people
had to transform the lives of the people. He has illustrated the
work which has been done by educated Taiwanese leaders in the
communities. This article paints some issues in the application
of the issue of social welfare, environment protection, and the
spiritual life. The radicalism of the nuns was very instrumental
in the achievement of different functions which happened in
Taiwan. In the article, Eichmann has used examples of 4
extraordinary nuns who were so talented and their work, so it is
possible to convert conservative persons to be radical thereby
having them from reflective and kinetically active.
5. Hakala, David. "The Top 10 Leadership Qualities". HR
World. Archived from the original on 2013-04-10.
The author of this article has started with an introduction of the
meaning of leadership where he puts clear that a leader is a
person who can indulge people to follow him or her. In his
explanation, he gives some elements which can make home
much influential. The factors that have been given focus by the
writer as the top leadership qualities are; Integrity, dedication,
magnanimity, humility,
openness, creativity, assertiveness, fairness and a sense of humor.
The author has made it clear that a good leader can only make it
influence the rest of the people by using the above traits. The
cutting point across is the ability of the leader to make sure that
they can act. The failure to follow the above traits will make the
leader be perceived otherwise by the followers, and therefore,
there is a need for the leaders to consider the relation with the
followers.

this, the issue went viral. The impact was not good, and
therefore, the authors decided to do a study using a regression
analysis to know the impact the influential leaders can have.
They were able to use Obama as the case study using some
comments he had made for some time.
8. Murray, B., Fosbinder, D., Parsons, R., Dwore, R., Dalley,
K., Gustafson, G., & Vorderer, L. (2011). Nurse Executives'
Leadership Roles. The Journal of Nursing Administration,
28(6), 17-24. http://dx.doi.org/10.1097/00005110-199806000-
00005
Murray et al. write about the influential profession and how
they can make their work possible. The authors who have
written more than 100 articles on leadership are given the first
ingredient of influential leaderships as the leader’s moods.
Using the different professions as examples, the reason for
having the influence is because there is a need to use the
different moods by the leaders to influence results. Again the
authors have picked up nursing executive as the profession
where the leaders have a lot of influence for them to win the
trust of the employees and the people they are attending to. It
identifies the fact that negative and positive mood as the
effective tone to which leaders can manage to have the support
of the rest of the members. In this case, therefore, there is a
need for the different leaders in the different professions to out
into consideration the positive moods which influence

12. Tagger, S.; Hackett, R.; Saha, S. (2014). "Leadership
emergence in autonomous work teams: Antecedents and
outcomes." Personnel Psychology52 (4): 899–926. Doi:
10.1111/j.1744-6570.1999.tb00184.x
The study by the authors had the focus on the importance of
personality attributes and cognitive ability as part of the factors
for influential leadership. It is one of the areas where every
leader focuses on to make that their performance achieves the
best it can. Cognitive abilities give the leaders the abilities to
make sure they have a strong association with the workers. With
cognitive abilities, the leaders can easily influence since they
understand the problem the workers have. It is therefore very
important for leaders to note that with influential leadership, the
authors made some things very clear. These are;
conscientiousness, extraversion, and emotional stability. Any
team leader can influence when they can put into practice the
above-stated functions of leaders. A good leader can bring
change by understanding the subordinates.
13.Van Vugt, M., Hogan, R., & Kaiser, R. (2012). "Leadership,
