3. Reasons
• Colour – colour is symbolic in this piece. It’s
dark and for shadows that nature, henceforth
the dark but suave look.
• Appearance – Speaking with Kaveh, we agreed
on John also looking messy to show a
trauma, such as ruffled hair and stubble.

5. Reasons
• As with John and the piece, A and C will also
be wearing something along these lines,
almost imitating John.

7. Reasons
• B is more messy, she is confused. By showing
this, I thought if we gave her a ragged
impression it would give her the appearance
of someone in a literal and figurative mess.

9. Reasons
• They’re in a business, so most of it will be
business wear. The clothing still has to be dark
though to portray the surreal aspect of the
film.

11. Reasons
• The Boss is imposing, but the fashion aspect
also helps to show how high up she is.

• Folder – it’s what The Boss has to throw down
on John’s desk.
• Popcorn – in scene four, I’ve rewritten it so
John’s mind is a student theatre space, with A
eating popcorn.
