Performed an analytical comparative review of the historical and current building codes to determine “like
kind and quality” upgrades required in fire loss project. Identified 13 distinct life safety areas requiring
upgrades in $75 million insurance claim.
Performed building failure forensic investigation through static pressure difference testing and destructive
investigation to determine the root cause of water penetration in building envelop. Provided report identifying
locations of water intrusion and prescribed corrective measures to ensure water tightness.
Reviewed depositions and all discovery materials on behalf of defense counsel in personal injury lawsuit.

Administration phases for new 781,000 s.f. headquarters for The Pampered Chef. Project was awarded 2002
“Build-to-Suit Project Team of the Year” by Greater Chicago Food Depository/Chicago Commercial Real
Estate.
Reviewed and coordinated all design consultant deliverables to ensure compliance with project specifications
and sustainable design intent of new 457,000 s.f. warehouse and distribution center for Anixter. The building
was the first warehouse and distribution facility in the State of Illinois to achieve LEED Certified rating. Project
awarded 2007 AIA Northeast Illinois Excellence in Architecture “Distinguished Building” award.
Collaborated with building code and fire prevention district officials in the development of new 400,000 s.f.
warehouse and distribution facility for 3M. Negotiated upgrades in building code requirements to warrant
issuance of building permit for the storage of hazardous materials and aerosol products in the Owner’s
required quantities.
