Clinical research organizations
1. Clinical Research Organizations
Clinical Research Organizations are organized research or studies that have been designed for
investigating innovative methods to prevent, detect, diagnose and treat different types of illnesses. As a
matter of fact, clinical trials and research have been the pillars of medicine, both in ancient times and in
the modern era. There are many clinical researches that have direct relation with the medical invention
and contribute to the making of life saving medications as well.
Clinical Research Organization has been used for testing new methods of treatments, therapies and
drugs on the human volunteers. Today, these investigations are performed using some protocols to
adhere to the accepted standards of patient care, safety and of data interpretation too. The demand
increased with the introduction of sophisticated medical technologies during the World War II. The trail
of Salk polio vaccine was considered to be the largest clinical research and trails in the year 1954.
However, the earliest record of clinical research dates back to the times of Nebuchadnezzar II that dealt
in diet and water. Clinical trials were also done for novel therapy that was unintentionally conducted by
Renaissance surgeon named Ambroise Pare in the year 1537. These were all b researches though, with
no effect on the research that is done in the modern times.
