Classroom Newsletter: Welcome to Mrs. Ann’s Grade 4 October 2017
Role of Technology in the Classroom
The use of technology in the classroom will help in boosting student motivation. The technological devices and applications such as computers, videos, projectors, and tape recorders can help to make the classroom environment more exciting for children, and thereby increase their motivation and interest in learning.
When children understand how to properly use technological devices, they can enhance their learning experiences in a fun and interesting way, improving in the process those vital skills like reading, arithmetic and the sciences.
Exciting New Class
Last month marked the start of a new school year. I have seen many familiar faces from third grade and a couple new ones as well. We welcome all new students and prior students and wish them all success in the 4th grade!
I am looking forward to this school year and am excited to get to know all of my students. This year will be packed full of fun and exciting lessons for your students and I know they will be up to the challenge. As we progress through the year your student will learn many new concepts as they prepare for 5th grade.
During the first month of school we had a great time meeting students and doing group activities that helped students make new friends and feel comfortable in their new classes.
Welcome to Mrs. Ann’s 4th Grade Classroom!
Homework report: I am pleased with the quality of work the students shown in their homework. Almost all the students completed their homework assignment and I observed a significant improvement on the performance. Students will continue having an assignment every week. So, the students are encouraged to continue giving their support.
Classroom Expectations: The month is expected to be fun and exciting for the students because the class will have several fall time activities and projects. The class will be going to an orchard as part of the fall time activities to learn about fall harvest and plant life cycles. Students should remember to send back their permission slip for the trip.
Classroom Activity: Students will be working on their family trees this month so they will need assistance from parents in learning about their family history. Please feel free to send pictures or any other documents you would like your students to use in their assignment.
Parent Teacher Conferences: At the end of the month we will be hold parent-teacher conferences to discuss the progress of your student. Please call two weeks in advance to schedule your time for conferences.
