The mayor will be traveling to Japan from August 1-7, 2011 to strengthen ties with Hiroshima and Uwajima, and explore a possible sister-city relationship with Nagaoka. order to strengthen our Japanese sister-city ties with Hiroshima and Uwajima and
promote the possibility of a sister-city relationship with Nagaoka. These visits will

economic development, assist companies looking for business opportunities, and
expand logistics and tourism networks.
