and receipts blanketing every nook and surface?

How Can I Organize My Work Space?
1. First, open up space around your work desk. Take out any extra or irrelevant things you
do not use, or need. Straight away it will feel better.
2. Completely clear your desk off and out onto the floor, or another table. Shred or throw
away any papers that do not need to be kept. Invest in a few new file holders for your
drawers, along with organizers for pens, paperclips, staplers, etc.
3. See if you can fit extra drawers or shelves under or near your desk. All of us can use
extra storage. If your work requires lots of books, then it is definitely worth investing in
book shelves. They can be free-standing, or fixed to the wall, and can double up to
store other items necessary to your work. Label everything you can, from drawers to
files, so that you can easily find anything you are looking for.
4. Hang a magnetic erasable white board or a bulletin board for everyday use (remember to
periodically remove information no longer required).
5. Hang a large calendar on the wall that also allows you to add notes.
6. Clean your desk and drawers thoroughly, and then put things back with a system that
works for you.
7. Tidy up cables with a cable cover
8. Place a good sized rubbish bin by the desk and use it!!!!
2. Having a clean, organized home office space Is so important when you want to increase
your productivity. It unclutters your mind, which allows you to save your focus for your more
pressing tasks. And, if you work at home around your children, or even have people working
