1. About GIC Housing Finance Limited
 GIC Housing Finance Limited, was incorporated as ‘GIC Grih Vitta Limited’ on 12th December 1989.
The name was changed to its present name vide a fresh Certificate of Incorporation issued on 16th
November 1993. The Company was formed with the objective of entering in the field of direct
lending to individuals and other corporates to accelerate the housing activities in India
 The primary business of GICHFL is granting housing loans to individuals and to persons/entities
engaged in construction of houses/flats for residential purposes. The Company carried a vision for
the future of Housing in India.
 The Company was promoted by General Insurance Corporation of India and its erstwhile subsidiaries
namely, National Insurance Company Limited, The New India Assurance Company Limited, The
Oriental Insurance Company Limited and United India Insurance Company Limited together with UTI,
ICICI, IFCI, HDFC and SBI, all of them contributing to the initial share capital.
Technical Outlook
 On daily chart, Prices has given break out from its falling wedge formation with above average
volume. The falling wedge can also fit into the continuation category. As a continuation pattern, the
falling wedge will still slope down, but the slope will be against the prevailing uptrend. As a reversal
pattern, the falling wedge slopes down and with the prevailing trend. Regardless of the type
(reversal or continuation), falling wedges are regarded as bullish patterns. Hence, we believe that
price could continue to trade on higher note .
 The momentum indicator, RSI has moved above 60 levels on daily timeframe while on weekly chart
RSI has formed bullish range shift indicating high momentum in prices.
 Bollinger Bands measure price volatility by using bands drawn two standard deviations around the
10-period moving average. The price reached upper point and have started rising upward. Hence,
further upside rally can be seen till 285 levels in next few weeks.
