2. This documentary was mixed, this meant there was interviews and narration
throughout.
Themes used in this documentary were, the representation of women in the
media and also the stereotype of women and how they should be seen, but in
this case women are not all that is expected.
A closed structure was used in this documentary which meant there were no
questions left unanswered. There was a non linear structure which meant that it
did not follow chronological order. And finally a single strand was used, meaning
that it only explores one narrative thread.

3. All interviews were filmed to the left or right of
the screen throughout the whole programme.
Close up, big close up and medium close up
was used throughout all at different points.
Point of view was used also with tracking shots
and handheld camera work, for example when
the camera entered the internet café. Zooming
was used on images of Lara croft, this is
because she is the main topic everybody is
talking about. focus pulling was also used
meaning the important part of the picture was
clear and the irrelevant was out of focus.
Chromakey was used as it showed footage from the game while people were
being interviewed. This linked in with what they were talking about. Front
projection was used, this puts the interviewer in the game, allowing them to feel
a part of it. One interviewer was filmed in a computer monitor, this was being he
was the creator of the game. It was a very clever touch.

4. Music was played throughout the documentary in the background which was
loud enough to hear but didn’t interfere with the narration or any interviews.
Madonna was played which she was being talked about during the
documentary. The voiceover was male, he seemed quite young and he spoke
in standard English, this was because that is the type of person who would
play the game, he seemed in the target age range
Cutting was used a lot in between shots
throughout the documentary. Fast motion
was also used, maybe because the game is
a fast pace. Also mise en scene was
created in the edit, a computer screen was
filmed but it was merged together in the
edit.

5. Game play was used in the programme as that is what
the documentary was all about. Film footage was used
from the movie with Angelina Jolie. Footage was
shown from the Nike advert aswell as magazine
covers which show just how popular the game is that it
is in the news. Websites were also shown aswell as
an interview with Angelina Jolie as she talks about the
game.
Some of the graphics used in this documentary were the name and relevance
to the topic during the interviews. They were in a white simple font so it stood
out against the background but didn’t distract from the interviewee. It was in 2
lines, first line was the name and then sub line was the relevance. It was to
the left and right of the frame.
