What is my purpose
in life?
Cheryl Washington
You must have a clear sense of
purpose. Absent of that, anything you
do for yourself, education, personal
development, etc. will only make you
a productive slave to someone else’s
purpose. Why do that when you can
be living for your own purpose? ~
Tracey Walker.
The purpose of my life is to use my ability to encourage and
uplift others in a fun and purposeful way by engaging in
conversation, volunteering my time, spending quality time
with family and friends, and masterminding with others so
that I am able to have a positive impact on the world and
make it a cooler place for everyone to live.
That is my purpose in life what is yours?
If you’re not quite sure what your purpose in life is then you’re in
the right place, at the right time.
I am going to share with you the formula I used to develop my
purpose and then how to use your purpose to get results in
every area of your life.
Step 1: Write 10-20 personality traits you like about yourself
Step 2: Pick the top 4 or 5 traits you like best
Step 3: Write 10-20 ways you like to express the traits in step 2
Step 4: Pick the top 4 or 5 favorite ways to express in step 3 you
enjoy the most
Step 5: Write a brief statement (25 words or less) of your vision
for an ideal world. Make sure to write this in present tense and
speak in terms of what you want, not (Ex. In my ideal world…)
Step 6: Put this all in a complete sentence.
The purpose of my life is to use my (Step 2) by (Step 4) so that
(Step 5).
Once you have that verbalized your purpose in life. Use this as a
reference to any actions and behaviors in your life. You should
have an easier time creating goals and making decisions now
that you know your purpose.
