This document provides an overview of the high school food classes being offered for the 2013-2014 school year. There are 5 half-unit elective courses students can choose from, including Introduction to Foods which requires no prerequisite, and Decorative Culinary Arts, American Regional Foods, International Foods, and World Cuisine which require either Introduction to Foods or permission from the instructor. The courses provide hands-on food preparation experiences and cover topics like basic cooking skills, regional American cuisine, international cuisine, and culinary competitions.
