It is widely reported that healthcare will be one of the fastest growing sectors nationwide due to an aging population, and the state of Minnesota is no exception. Of twenty-two major occupations, DEED projects Minnesota will outperform the nation in job creation on only three: personal care; farming, fishing, and forestry; and production. However, considering that Minnesota already has one of the highest labor force participation rates in the nation and slower-than-average population growth, it is no surprise that other less-developed states will grow at a faster pace.
