   People have to be able to be secure to
    survive.
     Safety needs:
      ▪ House alarm.
      ▪ Car alarms.
      ▪ Locked doors.
   Humans need to feel good about themselves.
   There are two types of self-esteem:
     High self esteem.
     Low self esteem.
      ▪ High self esteem
        ▪ Doing something perfect and getting credit for it.
        ▪ Making an A in a course that you thought you would fail.
   Low self esteem
     The need for attention
     A dream you know will never come true.
    It would be good to have high self esteem so that
       people wont feel alone or sad.
   A person’s full potential.
   The object to this according to Maslow is to
    become everything one person is able to
    become.
     To be self aware.
     So people will be concerned of ones personal
      growth.
     Setting goals for one’s self.
   According to Maslow these are the most
    basic needs of a person.
     For example:
      ▪ You need food to survive.
      ▪ Sleep to operate.
      ▪ And air to live.
   Humans have the ability to love and be loved
    by other humans.
     Relatives or relationships.
      ▪ If people didn’t feel loved they may feel depressed or
        lonely. Antisocial.
      ▪ It can also be caused by not being accepted into their
        favorite sport or class.
      ▪ Friends making fun of them.
