New Registration Requirements for
Teaching
The Teachers Registration Board presented
new registration requirements that will take
effect from 1st January 2013. Professional
learning will be a new component of
registration, plus a raft of other changes. This
was a CEASA/TRB joint presentation.

Key educators, in partnership with school
leaders, showed how to create sustainable
school change through a focus on
connecting curriculum, pedagogy and
assessment - and using a
mentoring/coaching model of professional
learning.

Teachers as Designers of Learning
Three education sectors presented the latest
in pedagogy and assessment directions for
South Australia. The DECD TfEL team talked
about pedagogy in an historical context and
then where we are headed in DECD schools.
Mary Carmody and Lynda MacLeodeach
gave their perspectives on the latest
developments in Catholic and Independent
Schools.

Members were able to to find out how to
make the best use of the new CEASA
website for their association. Over a year in
the making, the new CEASA website
provides a new level of service to member
associations. A powerful, searchable
calendar is the engine behind the site, plus
appealing individual pages for each
association.
