3. What Will My Trip Look Like
• Day One-Saturday: Depart from Canada or United States
• Day Two- Sunday: Arrive in Johannesburg
• Day Three- Monday: Drive to Swaziland, orientation, and market
shopping
• Day Four- Tuesday: Project Canaan
• Two hour tour
• Serve on Project Canaan
• Day Five- Wednesday: Serve Project Canaan Family
• Donated clothing may be taken to your family
• Day Six-Thursday: Option to attend Game Drive or serve on Project
Canaan
• Day Seven-Friday: Visit Rural Church, garden planting
• Day Eight-Saturday: Rural Church, measuring children for shoe
sizes, adult clothing distribution, food preparation
• Day Nine-Sunday: Attend church, shoe distribution, and celebration
• Day Ten- Monday: Check out of hotel and take 5 hour bus ride back
to Johannesburg
• Day Eleven-Tuesday: Arrive home
4. Community Days
•Community days will be any day you are out
in the community including Project Canaan
family visits and church days.
•Garden
•Possibly cooking structure
•Dress-Women MUST wear a wrap over pants
or a skirt below the knee
•Items to bring to play with children: Soccer
balls, Frisbees, jump rope, bubbles, and other
items to do with everyone.

Heart for Africa would like to encourage you to
be fully present in Swaziland and disconnect,
but we do realize you might need to
communicate back home. The Royal Swazi Sun
located behind the Lugogo Sun does have a
business center where wireless internet access
is available to you for a fee.

Here are examples of wraps for the ladies.
Wraps should be worn out to the community
everyday over pants. It is a simple piece of
fabric wrapped around the waist and pinned
that goes below your knees.

11. Flight Information
July 14th Trip: You will leave the United States on July 14th and
arrive in Johannesburg, South Africa on July 15th. You will
depart South Africa July 23rd and arrive in the United States on
July 24th.
July 28th Trip: You will leave the United States on July 28th
arrive in Johannesburg, South Africa on July 29th. You will
depart South Africa August 6th and arrive in the United States on
August 7th.
Your flight itinerary will be in your Trip Pack that will be mailed
to you six weeks before your trip.
12. Passport
• MUST be completed on your Heart for Africa
account information by May 1st. This includes
names, dates, and number.
• Name must be EXACTLY as it appears in the
passport.
• Your passport MUST have 4 blank VISA pages
• VISA has to be at the top of the blank page.
• Boarding will be denied if you don’t meet this
requirement.
• Expiration date is 6 months AFTER you arrive
back in the United States.
13. Travelers Under 18
Your child must travel with a legal guardian.
To ensure streamlined travel for your child
while traveling through immigrations during
their upcoming international flight, it is very
important to provide both the child and their
guardian with a letter crafted by you, their
legal parent/guardian.
