2. My Philosophy…
I believe that life is better when you can enjoy
your best health. Good health is purposeful and
requires compassion and conscious attention.
A healthy life is an individual journey of smart
choices according to your personal needs
based on evidence-based science. It includes
attention to stress, restful sleep, physical activity
and consuming real food. When you achieve a
life filled with joy, purpose, gratitude, and the
pleasure of enjoying nutritious food, family and
friends… life is good. !

SYPHILIS Cathi Horton 2/27/2013
In Europe at the end of the 14th Century
a sexual scourge was making history,
the cause of which was quite a mystery.
Throughout Europe, Asia, China and Africa,
it is believed early explorers brought it to America.
It’s a social disease, an infection caused by Bacterium,
It spreads person to person and can lead to delirium.
So when you see someone special, and want to score
just make sure you don’t come in contact with a sore!
In 2011, 72% cases of syphilis is,
started with men sharing some kisses.
Rashes and sores can last 3 to 6 weeks,
appear rough with red spots that even may leak.
55,000 new cases are reported each year,
about 15% have not been treated, symptoms disappear.
10 to 30 years after the infection began,
you can have paralysis, blindness & dementia – oh, man!
With just a blood test, you can be sure,
antibiotics from the doctor are a simple cure.
Avoid liquor, drugs and risky sexual behavior,
use a condom, be smart and do your partner the favor.
The surest way to avoid transmission,
get tested, talk it over before you get in that sexual position.

21. Mindfulness…
I completed a course at Mayo School of Health for
Mindfulness, which essentially teaches you how to train
your brain to purposefully choose thoughts instead of the
random chatter that constantly plays. I took our lessons
and put them into a rolling slide show for my final project.
22. Another mindfulness lesson
I continue to use these with stress relief class and coaching,
to help us focus our attention on intentional ideas. !
