How do we build this future city?Lots of talk of the tech, the infrastructure, the pipes, speed, capacity, the gadgets, the data?Lots of discussion and agreement about what we want to change and improve: transport, health, what we eat, what our children learn, how we spend our leisure time - how we save time, how we want to live.But the main characteristic of the the future is that we don’t actually know what it is.It will be determined how we interact with technology, how we choose to use it and importantly what access we have to it.So it terms of a future city we could think about how do we best provide access and tools for people to try, test and apply them to enable them to create things that amuse or improve lives.So how might we do this Engagement of representative citizens across the city to participate:
I Minds is an independent research institute founded by the Flemish Government to stimulate ICT innovation. The iminds team offers companies and organisations active support in research and development. It brings together companies authorities and non profit organisations to join forces in research projects.
