to take up their challenges !
We allow anyone showing interest to find social entrepreneurs operating in fields close to
their hearts, to be in contact with them and eventually to solve the challenges they are
facing. We do it both online via www.makesense.org and offline through specifically
designed problem-solving workshops.
The first one we created, the Hold-up, is a creative brainsorm.

3. Who are we ?
Right now, we are 500 active members all around the world !
Students, entrepreneurs, young working people, engineers, managers,
journalists, designers, coders, … All passionnate about social business,
innovation and social media.
Our results since January 2011
200 social entrepreneurs met, 50 challenge-solving events,
8000 persons who went into action

8. Why the Mediterranean region ? Why now ?
• An area of interdependencies : the Mediterranean countries share
many challenges and the situation of one of them has an impact on the
others ;
• Creation of new Mediterranean cooperation programs and
intergovernmental organizations : a new momentum to reach regional
cooperation ;
• In the current regional environment of political upheavals and economic
crisis, the rise of social business as a solution and alternative makes
sense.

Two of the most experienced and motivated members of the MakeSense
community will be selected to achieve the Mediterranean SenseTour.

10. In each city 1. a presentation and a Sensedrink
(approx. 30 people)
It consists in making a short description of what has already been
done during the previous stages of the SenseTour (an interview of
a social entrepreneur for example) and bring together, connect,
and raise awareness during an open event.

11. In each city 2. one or several Hold-Ups
(15 people per Hold-Up)
A Hold-Up is a 2 hours creativity workshop that aims at taking up the
challenge of an innovative project leader. It results in 100 ideas and 3 to 5
concept-solutions explained with videoprototypes (videos showing the
solution with drawings).

To train those that are interested for the methodology of the Hold-
Up and sustain our impact locally.
