INDIAN FACE
INDIAN EQUITY BENCHMARK ended lower recording their highest single day fall since August 8 after sluggish July domestic industrial growth and weaker-than-expected economic data from China raised concerns over slowdown among the world's largest economies.
Further, Inflation data based on wholesale price index (WPI) for August hit a five year low at 3.74 percent courtesy declining vegetable prices and other food articles. August WPI inflation stood at 5.19 percent in July.
Metal shares fell after a weaker-than-expected factory output data in the China. China's factory output grew at the weakest pace in nearly six years.
GLOBAL FACE
Asian stock markets hit by fresh fears of sluggish growth in China, adding to a lengthy list of worries for investors that include the possibility of higher U.S. interest rates and signs that Europe is slowing.
European stocks were lower, as investors remained cautious ahead of the Federal Reserve's monthly policy meeting on Wednesday and the vote on Scottish referendum scheduled the next day.
U.S. stocks market fell after investors sold and jumped to the sidelines ahead of next week's Federal Reserve statement on interest rates and monetary policy.

LIC Housing to focus on high yielding products
LIC Housing Finance Ltd expects margins to improve led by reduction in its borrowings from the banks and focus on high yielding loans like loan against properties. It has also set a 20% growth target as against a growth of 18% in its loan advances in 2013-14.
RIL's $10 billion investment depends on government approval
Reliance Industries' $10 billion investment in new fields off the east coast depends on the government approving acceptable gas price, says its partner in KG D6 basin, Niko Resources during its annual general meeting. Further, Niko said final investment decisions to develop R-Series gas fields as well as satellite discoveries in KG- D6 block is waiting on favourable resolution of gas price and highlighted that the new field developments are economically unviable at the current price of $4.2.
Yes Bank falls further, FIIs need RBI nod to buy shares
Shares of Yes Bank declined further to 4% after the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) on Friday said the foreign investors will need RBI's approval to buy additional equity in the private sector lender. The RBI notified that the foreign shareholding through FIIs/ Registered Foreign Portfolios Investors (RFPIs) / NRI/ Persons of Indian Origin (PIO)/ FDI/ Global Depository Receipts (GDRs) in Yes Bank has reached the trigger limit.
Lupin hits day's high
Lupin rose over 2% after a report that the company was in talks to sign a deal with Merck Serono. Lupin is in advanced talks to sign a major deal with Merck Sero. Lupin will manufacture Merck Serono's $1.5 billion worth branded mature drugs at its facilities.
