2. IT WAS VERY FUNNY BECAUSE THE KIDS THOUGHT THAT WE WERE
GOING TO DO ONLY ONE STORY AND WE DID A LOT OF STORIES.
SOME KIDS WERE OUR FRIENDS AND LIKED THEM A LOT.
IT WAS A LITTLE BIT DIFICULT BUT IT WAS FOR OUR CLASSMATES AND
WE DID IT FOR ALL THE KIDS.

3. Decorating the school halls with different
works of art
We did lots of decorations and each course did paintings of different styles. All the decorations look
very beautiful. We love them all!
The first graders did Valencian luminism. They did some paintings of Sorolla.
The second graders worked in surrealism. They painted very good paintings. We thought that they
were the ones from Dalí because they did them very well.
The third graders did impressionism. They did lots of paintings from Van Gogh. They did The
Sunflowers.
The fourth graders painted the baroque style. They painted lots of paintings from Murillo, Velazquez
and many others.
The fifth graders worked on the renaissance. They painted one famous painting from Leonardo da
Vinci called Mona Lisa and another painting from Raphael called The Angels.
The six graders worked in cubism. They painted paintings of Picasso. They are incredible!!
The infant kids did prehistoric art. They made a fantastic cave and they decorated it using their hands.
We enjoyed it a lot, and the teachers said that our work were good, but that’s not true…our works are
perfect, incredible even!

4. WE DID PROJECTS ABOUT: TIZIANO, DA VINCI, RAFAEL, BOTICELLI, EL
GRECO AND MIGUEL ANGEL.
WE DID TWO TYPES OF PROJECTS: ONE IN ENGLISH AND ANOTHER IN
SPANISH.
IN SPANISH WE WORKED ON THE RENAISSANCE AND THE BIOGRAPHY.
IN ENGLISH WE DID TWO ACTIVITIES: ONE FOR LISTENING AND
ANOTHER FOR TAKING INFORMATION.

5. Making the book
Also in the cultural week, we did activities related to books. We did these
in the library and we enjoyed them a lot. We made a book but the infant
students didn’t write the story because most of them don’t know how to
write. So they did the pictures. This story is about two fairies, so it’s a
fictional book. These fairies are called Purpurina and Acuarela, two sisters.
They go into a forest to find a key to obtain their colors because they lost
them. The story is very interesting. I am not going to tell you more about
it, if you want to know how this story ends you must go to the library and
ask for the book.

Your Favorite Activity during Cultural Week
For this survey, students from Grade 6 asked 50 random
students in the school (10 from Grade 3, 20 from Grade 4 and
20 from Grade 6) what had been their favorite activity during
Cultural Week. Each student had to rank the activities from 1
to 4, 1 being their favorite activity, 2 their second favorite, and
so on.
